I think if you aproach this from a different angle you will have better success. The artillery module is great for live players. It allows control of the Arty and proper radio feedback, which makes it a grerat module to work with. However using it for A.I just isn't necessary. If you want AI simulated arti a simple way would be to set up a trigger and just have a series of explosions in the area you want. There is no need for all the controls and radio stuff if the AI is going to be the ones using it. There is a script on here called bomb.sqs. Have a look at that to get the basic idea of how it would be done.
