Could somebody try to make some some Chris Costa style m4s with micro T1 Aimpoints or any optic is fine with magpul furnishing (Pmags and Emags, CTR stock, UBR stock, ACS stock, XTM rail panels, MOE pistol grip/hand guard, AFG not magpul but a KAC handstop ect..) and maybe put on Daniel Defense and Knights Armament RIS (DD 12.0 rail,DD mk18 rails, Omega X rails for KAC maybe URX and RAS rails any length) I want these rifles in-game because i feel like theres no tactical weapons out that include the new accessories that all the shooters are using today and it would be cool to feel like Chris Costa Here are some examples below

I love the lower on this one its a Magpul C

the one below this text is great example of what i want on a M4 besides the crane stock just replace it with a CTR stock

Chris Costa's M4 setup

Two links that are perfect for what i want in-game just keep going through the pages on Stickman's Flickr page and you'll find just about everything i said above in the description the other link is all on Chris Costa

Seriously, we can ask after the real utility of this method.

Too many negative points for this method.

- Being tired too fast.
- Uncompatible with many engagement situations.
- Bad rifle control.

For the weapons, yes, that's some very good models.
But for the position, better to avoid this.

That's just a personnal feeling after trying.

And I really think that would break the realistic aspect of ArmA to implement this method in with some models.

Its a personal preference for how you handle a rifle.

i think biohazardlvl4's request isnt bad at all, its purpose could be something else than just having this "realism" feeling on missions in ArmA. I share biohazardlvl4's taste of this rifle build shown on the pictures above.

it doesnt look realistic for many but it doesnt have to be realistic for others who have taste KAC URX rifles.

or just make more version of this models where the player model holds the rifle in a realistic aspect.
that means more rifles of this model with diffrent setups when it comes to ArmA 2.

ArmA 3 Beta have its own nice feature where the player can attach and remove accessories on the firearms.

I say go for it. Addons doesnt have to be only with realism aspects, they could also have fun purposes ^^

For me, I used ArmA for simulation, not fun.

If I want fun, I play RAGE or other FPS like Borderland.

Just a point :

No one of the Special Forces or Professionnal Army in the world use this or learn this to recruits, so this is a good proof that this method should not be used in battlefield with all the negative points.

But after all, if someone do this mod with this method, he probably add an alternative pbo to activate or not this way of handle the rifle.

Well i guess we use ArmA diffrently then.

for me i hope this mod gets seen soon, but thats me.

EDIT: Even if i had this rifle i wouldnt use this method that much as Chris Costa does
I would use the method on a shooting range for fun, but not in a simulated combat. I'll say its up to the player too choose for himself. people may have their opinion on if it is ineffective or effective handling, its not up for others to decide that.

I'll never say that I can decide for others if there is something to like or not.

I just say that there is many things and proofs which advance that's not a real and usefull method in the field.
And even if the way of handling the rifle can be shocking (we must admit that we have the impression to see a guy who has never handling a weapon of his life ^^), we must try at least one time to have a real feeling and feedback before judging (and yes, I'll already try, and no, it's not usefull at all for me).

And in this way, to satisfied all, those who don't like, and those who like, to add an alternative file to enabled or disabled this method.

;-)

Sorry if my posts can let you think that I want impose my way of think, that's not the idea and I'll never want to do this like my words says it previously :

# Goldfish : Alright.

I don't really know how I must understand this, but if it's the goal, that's not a reason to be haughty.

If it's not the goal, simply don't care.

Without any animosity,
Have a nice day !

You know, I worked at Daniel defense for 2 years and still never understood the want for our rifles. The KAC weapons are a much better choice. As far as holding a rifle like that, it allows for much better muzzle control over a standard grip any day. I have competed in 3-gun type shooting before and that stance and grip helped me hold relatively tight groups while popping off 4 or 5 rounds rapidly and swinging to different targets. It is rather realistic for special ops members as the Ranger I know used that stance in Afghanistan when they cleared out towns.

If you download the following packs

"RH MK18"
"RH MGS PACK"
"RH M16 pack"

You'll get close enough results.
These packs come with M4A1's and M4's and in the M16 pack, There is a Magpul M4 and it is very nice. Hope this helps.
