Ok Guys, I think I tried everything but dsound.dll is still not loaded :S
I ran Arma as an Admin, I deleted dsound.dll from everywhere and ran SixUpdater with "beta" option checked and have updated/downloaded the @JayArma2Lib_new mod.
But I still have the missing dll errormsg in the upper right ingame.
And I also cannot access the radio an/or its functions ingame.
I red 1000 pages of forums/sites etc. to find a solution but none worked.
Hope You will have some idea.
Sry, it seems I will give up.

@DarkXess: I just got it. The link you provided is NOT for the latest version of CBA, available on six updater only. This why you get that error message and i don't, your version only need the one folder, mine needs the three. (your link's for the 0.8.3, latest is 1.0.0pre)
It would seem, from what Yazevedo said, that the latest ACE requires the latest CBA. This would explain that.
If it doesn't... well.

Who says that the latest version of CBA is ONLY available on the six updater? your telling me that
normal gamers who does NOT want to use Six Updater have no choice or other options to get the latest
version? I got the latest files from where ive always got them, there main repository. Dev-Heaven all
the way from 2009 until now. So I dont believe its a Six Updater ONLY thing. Its not only Dev-Heaven
that hosts the latest files too, but we also do here.

Files from here: Community Base Addons (funny how my way has worked for him)
but now he is having a problem with ACRE :-P

Anyways, lets not keep going on about CBA and not forget that this is a help thread on ACE and not just
going on about the latest CBA etc .. If you want then make a thread about it, but for now lets keep on topic :-)

@yAzevedo how have you installed the ACRE? did you put the right files in your TeamSpeak folder
etc? its not just done with putting in the addon like other addons you know.

Hi there,

I need help to make an AI-Unit drop its ruck like the player does it with the "Drop Ruck"-Button.
If I use
dudeWithRuck action ["dropWeapon", dudeWithRuck, "ACE_Backpack_FL"];
the unit places the ruck on the ground, but all the stuff inside is gone.
Also it does not mark the Ruck (ingame label: "dudeWithRucks Ruck").

There must be a function or a script to drop the rucksack the same way the player can do it.

Dear DarkXess,
It seems like You dont really like the SixUpdater method :-) Sorry that I'm using that kind, but before first installion, I red that kind of method will be the easiest way, and I didnt wanted to mess things up, so I started with that.
I have tried both ways to install @ACRE. First, I let SixUpdater to install it for me as it wants. Second, I've copied the manually downloaded @ACRE - files (and @jay was there also, in the @ACRE download package) and after that I've started the Six and let it Update/Install. (Probably this was the issue, that I always let Six to Update/Download mods, even if I added them manually - but dowloaded versions were low-version numbers...for example the @CBA, You know the 1,00 vs. 0,83,175 .
One more thing before I try to reverse this last method :
Even if I downloaded @ACRE from many many places (to find the good one), none of the downloaded packages contain an exe file. All contains folders and subfolders, dlls, txts, addons, keys, userconfig, plugins. But no ACREInstaller.exe file.
TS3 is doing fine btw. It recognizes ACRE (and shown under my user details in TS3). It also enabled in TS3/Plugins and TS3/Plugin-folder contains the dll required. TS2 also shows version number and connection status.
But the ACE still giving me an errormsg ingame in the upper right corner about a missing dsound.dll :'(
Yeah, @ACRE radio-menus dont come up ingame for example is I press ctrl+shift+x or c or s or anything else, it goes crouch instead :-\
I really have some bigger problem that its so tiny in front of my eyes that i dont realize.
Either was, I try the manual method from Your links...

Added 19 minutes later:

But it seems like everything is installed and enabled fine, according to my main screen :

but there are no options to reach any @ACRE options, and the missing dll for @ACE :)

EDIT : SOOOOOOOLLVED ! HAHHHAHHHAAAAA *YAHOO* ...partially :P

I started the SixUpdater again and unchecked the Beta - option. So together with the beta-@JayArma2Lib_new it updated/downloaded the @JayArmaLib too.
After, I've created a new shortcut and added the following line: -nosplash -mod=c:\Program Files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2;Expansion;@CBA;@CBA_OA;@ACEX;@ACE;@ACEX_SM;@;@CBA_A2;@JayArmA2Lib;@ACRE;@JayArmaLib_new

Now no ingame upper right corner "missing dsound.dll" issue !!!! XD
...
but @ACRE radios or menu or options still dont come up ingame for any keypress :-!

Well, nice to see you solved (partially) the issue.
Only thing i could think of now would be to check if you do have a radio in your gear (yeah, that's pretty dumb, but when struggling to solve a problem i sometimes forget about the basics), and moreover check if you don't have any conflict between your ACRE key and any other keybinding.

Though i guess you shoud have a PRC-343 as default, so you might wanna skip the first part anyway.

when i try launch ARMA 2 OA i get an error message saying i need to have CA_Hotfix to run ace_anim_jump.
i dont have a clue where to get this. i have the steam version of the game with combined operations and PMC. any ideas what to do.
please dont give solutions for the Disc version. i only want solutions for the steam version

I have Arma2 and Arma2 OA on Steam. I used the six updater to install Ace. I have these files marked green:

@ACE (P, D) r547 v1.13
@ACEX (P, D) r362 xtras v1.13
@ACEX_RU (P) r68 xtras (RU) v1.13
@ACEX_SM(P) r104 xtras (sound mod) v1.13
@ACEX_USNAVY (P) r71 - Advanced Combat Enviroments Xtras ( US NAvy) v1.13
@CBA (P,D) r182 v1.0.pre
@CBA_A2 (D) r8 v1.0.pre
@CBA_OA (D) r6 v1.0.pre

I have no idea if this is ACE 1 or 2 or whatever?

I use the Arma II launchjer to start Arma and I can play SP ACE, I can make Maps and play online,

BUT!!!!!!!

I cannot join any online server : ( Note: I am trying to play on an ACE server. any kind)

your missing files

you have files with no key, delete files or get key for files

you have modified data, this server does not accept modifed data

you are missing maps

your battle eye memory is corrupt

and last but not least:

join server,:

YOU`VE BEEN KICKED

'you have files with no key, delete files or get key for files' do as it says, if you use sixupdater it should auto add keys for you. Try using the install and process keys option

'you have modified data, this server does not accept modifed data' common sense, the server you have tried to join only uses vanilla arma 2, it doesn't accept mods. Servers with names like NO ACE in the title give it away.

'you are missing maps' again, common sense, you don't have the map the server is running or requires, it should say what map is running in server lobby.

'your battle eye memory is corrupt' try manually installing battleye from its website.

'and last but not least: join server, YOU`VE BEEN KICKED', because of all the above.

which servers run ACE mod team battle? I can only see Insurgency and domination?

Hello, I'm new to this forum, did a brief forum search as well as google search but it seems like I'm somewhat alone.

The problem seems to be that no matter how I adjust the sights, for example the tac50, from -15 moa to 51 moa, the point of impact remains the same at a fixed range, I've done it through shift-v as well as the arrow keys (and made sure I click confirm) I've tried this on a few other rifles with adjustable sights, but the issue persists, both the wind/range settings are set to YES on the ace option menu, and I could have sworn it has been working perfectly fine until today, anybody has similar issues / solution for this?

Hey guys, I followed all the instructions on the ACE wiki installation guide, when I try to run the game through six updater everybox gets checked except the last 2 in that little window that pops up before arma starts, and I get this warning "file userconfig\ace\ace_clientside_config.hpp, line 4: /cfgsettings/ace.id: Member already defined." can anyone help me out?

^ I'm not 100% sure but my guess would be make sure your Arma profile name in the config.hpp file is the same as your in-game profile name
