The problem comes from the fact that both the Cargo System and RTE are using the SetVehicleInit and ProcessInitCommands at the same time. You can at least bypass this issue, by using the following init lines from within the RTEditor:

sP=[This,<Size>,"",0] Spawn RKSL_CargoAddMP

Or

sP=[This,<Capacity>] Spawn RKSL_TransportAddMP

Thanks UNN. Your a life saver.

Now my mission will work like a charm. Load up your gear into the aircraft and fly out to the FOB.

Important Notice...RKSL Studios pause Public Modding

UKF have recently stopped public modding for various reasons. Well RKSL may also stop public releases too, but for a different cause. A situation has arisen that will prevent us from releasing any more models.

It seems someone has MLODing (converted to an editable format) our Lynx and Puma Helicopter models handing them out to anyone and everyone. I know who that was. To go further than that someone, I don't know if its the same person, has then been selling our models on various 3D model sites making a profit from our work.

This presents a problem because the models used by RKSL are nearly all made by me for commercial ie Non ArmA or VBS2 purposes. In 95% of the models I am contractually obliged not to make the editable formats available for public use. Now, while it wasn't me that tried to sell the 3DS and Maya versions of the models I would still legally be liable since I chose to use derivatives of these models for public ArmA addons. As such we can no longer use the models I had planned to use for ArmA/ArmA2.

I make part of my living making 3D models for simulations and I cant afford to jeopardise my business if people in the ArmA community are going to exploit my goodwill. The current situation in the community is not one I particularly like. Its been going on for years but the theft of my IP isn't something neither I or my business can tolerate.

What happens now?

Internally for RKSL; business as usual. After discussions with both UNN and VXR we will release updates for the currently released Lynx and Puma addons. And we will release new versions of the cargo system and a new addon that applies the RKSL Flare system to all BIS and ACE aircraft.

After the next updates I'm not sure. We wont be releasing any new models soon. I don't know if that will change in future. A lot depends on which direction the community heads. We will continue to make addons for our own enjoyment and that of our trusted friends. We may even switch to the VBS2 community. All this has happened so quickly we're still undecided.

I suppose the best way to think of this is an "operational pause". We are going to sit on the sidelines for a while to see what, if anything changes in the community's attitude. We are watching, with great interest a new Community led project suggested by Foxhound, I44_John and Deadeye to ensure that theft isn't swept under the carpet as it has been in the past.

I just want to say that I am genuinely sorry to disappoint anyone. I know it may sound petty to some, or what has happened is just the risk you take making addons. But I cannot jeopardise the business that pays my mortgage.

You can read the full story on the RKSL Website
Please keep any discussion to the RKSL Forums too.

Regardless of what happens next I'd like to say a big thank you to:

  • UNN and VXR - best team mates and friends you can find.
  • Foxhound and the ArmAholic guys - especially Foxhound for paying for such a great community resource out of his own pocket.
  • PUKF guys - Chris, Dan/Messiah, Jeff and all the others.
  • Dkraver - never to be confused with Frandsen - for all the vocal support.
  • Everyone who posted, emailed and shouted support.
There are so many others that I just cant name. Again I am so very sorry its come to this.
All the best

Sorry to hear such a thing is happening to the RKSL studio's, one of my favorite addon maker studios dating back years :(
I hope in the future things can be resolved and you can continue working the way you like it most without having to deal with these kind of situations (no matter if thats for private or again public development).

At the moment the community is working out a way to see how we can prevent any issues with IP etc. Not just aimed at this mod but aimed to any troubles about IP which have occured lately. Some community members seem to blame everyone except the ones doing this so its time to show we are fighting against it, but now more in public.

**Admin mode

I have left this topic open as it was stated future releases are still planned in a limitted way.

@RavenDK
Issues which have nothing to do with Armaholic should be handled in private.

I'm so sorry to hear you're pausing your add-ons, I'm starting to get fed up with members of this community:

For example the P'85 members that overthrew Vilas and banned him from his own forums. Or that British clan porting UKF material to ArmA - it's ridiculous.

RKSL-Arma.pbo Extension V1.00

We have a new addon we're trying out, for all our scripted systems, RKSL-Arma.pbo. The idea is, it will automatically apply the scripted systems to any compatible, default Arma addon using inheritance and the Extended Event Handler. This means that many existing missions can be made to automatically use the RKSL scripts, without having to repack. You can now place regular Arma addons and objects in the editor without having to specifically select those from the RKSL vehicle class. Although the addons in the RKSL vehicle classes are still available and will not conflict in any way. In a nutshell, What this means is every BIS aircraft will now use the Flare system. All the supported vehicles can now carry standard ammo and weapons boxes e.t.c without have to use the RKSL equivalents. This is kind of an experiment, so if anyone runs into any problems, please get in touch so we can try and fix them.

Also thanks to the Extended Event Handler we can also apply these scripts to addons that inherit from the default Arma units. A good example of this is most of the vehicles and some of the objects from the A.C.E mod. With the exception of a few vehicles and aircraft, we can support many of the A.C.E addons via RKSL-Arma.pbo. For details see the project page here. You will still have to manual add objects that are not supported as visible cargo, but all the A.C.E Ammo, Weapon, Medic and Sandbag boxes are supported. Any thing that can be, but isn't currently working with the Flares (AH64) and Cargo system (CH47) will be added via a dedicated A.C.E pbo later on. Thanks to the guys at the A.C.E mod for helping us set this up and their help solving some of the problems we had configuring RKSL-Arma.pbo in general.

See RKSL-Arma for more information.

Required Addons:

  • RKSL System V1.01
  • RKSL Cargo System V1.01
  • RKSL Flares V1.01
  • Extended Event Handler V1.9+
Update V1.01 to the RSKL system pbo's includes the following fixes, changes and additions:

RKSL-RadarSys.pbo V1.01
-----------------------

Added: Implemented Flare settings via Description.ext.

See RKSL-RadarSys instructions for more information.

RKSL-System.pbo V1.01

Fixed: Support for more screen modes for dialog aspect ratio.

Added: Custom event handler.

See RKSL-System instructions for more information.
