a new update to the mod. we are working on the "Atalef" chopper. that is in use at the Israeli Navy.

Ahh nice, the Aerospatiale Dauphin 2! I could imagine a bunch of different skins for that bird, e.g. French navy, US coast guard, or as civilian VIP transport. And mind that this is the chopper used in Delta Force 2 with Chuck Norris, so a bacl-blue camo pattern would be cool, too ;)

However, I'm a bit reluctant to start working on such skins. Not because of the work, but I'm not sure if I can release it at all. I'm still waiting for a decision on my CH-53 skins (Foxhound mentioned that matter a page ago), which depends solely on the original author. And if he doesn't move, my work hangs in limbo for an indefinite period of time. That's of course not exactly motivating.

It would be really good if everyone released their work under a proper license, e.g. a version of creative commons (see creativecommons.org) that allows redistributing and changing the work but demands the author to be mentioned and restricts use to non-commercial applications. Or you may say that you don't allow any re-editing at all, which would be a pity, but at least people can drop their hope instantly and turn the energy into other projects. It would save a lot of time, fuel addon creation, and it would also save the authors from being bothered by messages about addons that they might have lost interest in, but that are still of worth for other people.
