Hi and :welcome to armaholic.

To find custom missions:
- How to find custom missions online?

Once you connect to a server and download the mission: (it seems you already played so...)
- Where do the downloaded missions go?

Hey

thanks for the help with corridor. i went through everything and it was perfect, easy to understand. the only problem is, when you get to the folders, which are already in youre mpmissions file ready to play online, theyre empty?!

im not real good with stuff like this lol, is there anyway to make the downloaded missions open to be setup on my server to play, or find out where they came from?

thanks for your help Big

Did u read the second link i gave you?

It's not on the mpmissions folder. It's in a hidden folder which you have to make "visible":

For Windows XP:
X:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\ArmA\MPMissionsCache

For Windows Vista or Windows 7:
C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\ArmA 2\MPMissionsCache

To be able to see this folder you have to select "Show hidden files and folders" in the windows explorer for XP:
    1. On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options.
    2. Click the View tab.
    3. Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.
For Vista/Win7:
    1. On the Organize menu in Windows Explorer, click Search & Folder Options (Or something similar i have it in Spanish).
    2. Click the View tab.
    3. Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.

Hey, sorry about before. yeah, can see where i was going wrong now and have subsequently found the correct file (with alot of effort lol, im a mere builder you see, not good with the tech side of pcs!)

ive found the file and extracted it into my mpmissions folder, the same place ive downloaded other missions, eg ranch dm sniper ect, but i cant get it to unpack and work online?

thanks for your help

Glad to read you figured out most of it!
I understand the first part of your post but here I am a bit confused. Are you trying to host the mission on your own server (online) or do you want to edit it in the editor (extracted it)?
