Your RSS feed in this address:

http://www.armaholic.com/rss.php

Gets articles made out of news comments, in my feedreader v3.14 for example it spams the project reality news constantly, as people are posting comments to the news, the article that comes through is the news article and not a comment. This is highly annoying and all "news from armaholic" loses its interest as "its another meaningless spam from comments..." heh.

Is there anything for me to do client side to skip news comments on RSS?

If not, would you guys consider disabling them from the RSS feed?

Thanks.

Just so I am sure I understand you correctly.
You are saying ever time someone makes a comment to a news item that news item gets "bumped" in your feedreader? Meaning you will see an old news item everytime someone adds a comment to it?

Weird, I never heard of that one. Please confirm if I understood you correct and I will see if something can be done.
I guess you use this?

Correct.

And also that I cannot see the comment at all, I only see the original news as seen on news/front page. First few times I thought you guys just updated the news, but now its been like constant spam through out the day. Can you imagine how many project reality news I've gotten in the past week? :)

Can you please replace the rss feed link with this:
http://www.armaholic.com/rss.php?c=news

And let me know if that stops the bumping of old news when a comment is posted?

This may have been suggested before, but has ArmAholic thought about making a chat room? That would be good fun ;-)

Certain members/staff already have a chat/shout room on the homepage 8-)
Maybe in the future we will have like a real chat but thats not sure yet.

Chat rooms have come and gone in the past so I personally am not really in favor of it right at this moment.

What about a space on your profile that displays your in-game name?

maybe it could be added to your immediate information (that you see when some one posts)

i.e.

(User Name)
---
(User Avatar)
---
(User Posts)
(User Rank)
---
(User Level)
---
(User Country)
(User Location)
(User Occupation)
(User Age)
(User In-game Name)

Sure, we can add it. I will create a field for it today.

Update!
Done!
Please be so kind to fool around with it (try different names, update each time and see if all is correct). When you spot something weird let me know.
Thank you :-)

Hi all
First : Love this site I've been here daily for years now ..Big thank you.

I'm In the process of tring to find host-able campaigns for a friend and I to play through .
I would love to see a host-able yes/no when searching through the campaigns and ideally on the page of the campaign

e.g.
Short description: Mission Description.
Author: mission maker
Version: 1.01
Island(s): Chernarus
Requirements: ArmA 2
Hostable: Yes

Thanks For Your Time .
Deano.

You mean wether the campaign is playable in Multiplayer? That might be a good idea indeed, all we need is authors to provide that kind of info.
I will have a chat with Big as he mostly takes care of missions and campaigns and see what he thinks if he does not respond here already.

Oh, and welcome to Armaholic, at least for your first post here :-)
