ArmA 2 OA SCARs and equipment (backpacks..??)

ACE mod SCARs

WIP SHOT

Animalmother, you seriously have a hard on for ACE. Not everything has to be ACE compatible.

ANYWAYS, great job fox. Cant wait to see some more shots of these guys, more variation would help also. Backpacks will be awesome as well!

I am still working out backpacks etc, I think i figured it out though. It has to be defined in the config. (ability to use backpacks)

edit:

i'd like to thank YorT for the dirt samples, if it wasn't for him these rangers would of been cleaner than a new car

something to think about when it comes to the "little details". Currently the 75th in A-Stan are in MC, and the gear color is "Ranger Green", not Olive Drab. They are wearing Eagle Plate Carriers, RRVs with back panels, and alot of them have Modular Assault Packs (MAP for sort) I have lots of pics and would be willing to share. Here are just a few Color swatches and a pic of the MAP.

OD green, see how it is much brighter shade of green.

Ranger Green, again there are at least 2 generations of this color that I know of. The first gen (which this is a pic of ) is much darker shade of green. And Gen 2 which almost has a touch of grey in it.

Eagle Modular Assault Pack. Notice the diffrence in the gen 1 and 2 ranger green. It looks like they mixed the standard Alpha Green from the ACU into a 50/50 blend with the darker Ranger Green. This Pack also threads straight onto the back of any Molle capable rig. A lot of the guys who use it do not center it on the back. Instead they push it to the left or right most row of Molle to make room for other pouches I.E Radio pouch, flashbang pouch, or even more M4 magazine pouches.

hope this helps.

Here is a mil photos website that tracks Ranger photos as released by the Army. You can see the loadout they are currently using. I can try and answer any questions you have about whats seen in the pictures. Outside that not sure I'd be willing to share.

To my knowledge, the only time Rangers have been seen with SCARs has been at formal events. When I left we had m4's, and had no intention of switching anytime soon. That very well could of changed, but judging by the pictures I've seen of KIA Rangers at the USASOC website, gonna say M4's are still primary.

I was B Co 3/75 28 Jun 05 - 10 May 09.

@Decreg I preferred my MAP pouch centered, banger pouches on either side. Until we got the fannie hydration pouches anyways. Then I used a mixture of GP pouches.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Multicam is what they are wearing now, and I'm a stickler for details. Try and model the kneepads into the pants as seen at crye's website and in the pics, and texture the neoprene onto the top.

thanks for the info guys, this is really going to help. telling bad benson now so he can get started on the models :)

I can try to fix the vest color, thanks for the actual "texture"

as for the sack, I'll see if we can get it configged for OA, and also have a version for ArmA 2 (as part of the model)
