Couldn't find this on the internet anywhere.

Does anyone know if OA ordered from Steam installs over your existing Arma2 directory? In my case my ArmA2 directory is a boxed copy install sitting on my SSD and I want to get OA via Steam (only option where I live ATM) - but I DON"T want Steam putting this in the SteamApps directory on my HD with the rest of the Steam games. I want it merged onto my ArmA2 directory.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, its possible to combine steam with other versions. Dwarden has a nice sticky topic up on the BI forums explaining how things should be done.
There still seem to be people with troubles, just read through the topic for all the info you need.

Thanks for the pointer Foxhound.

I've punted and gone with Sprocket. Didn't want to deal with the hassle.

A 3hr download (to Ohio, US) and I'm up an running.
The sprocket downloaded installer installed it just fine over my existing A2 install dir.

It took 3 hours for you? I'm in Ohio downloading from sprocket and it took about 3 hours for the first setup file. I'm getting a lousy 98 kb/s.
