Although it was a little bit of a pain to navigate through Sprocket to buy and download Arrowhead, the wait and trouble were well worth it! The most important thing I think I can say about the expansion is that the money is worth it. We played two missions lastnight and were really impressed by how much smoother Aroowhead runs, the buildings and the ability to enter them. I was also very impressed with the maps as they really reminded me of places I have been to in Iraq and Afg.

Thanks to all of those who made a kickass expansion that me and my buddies will be able to enjoy!!!!!!

Computer Sepcs: Dell M1730, X9000 CPU, 4gb RAM, SSD, 8800 GTX SLI, Win 7 x64

The game runs much better than ArmA 2. As far as sound, I am using whatever the M1730 has and I haven't had any sound issues, even during firefights.

Glad to read your performance seem to be ok, any chance you can post your computer specs?
Also, how is the sound? Are you using 128 bit sounds or a lesser value? When in a firefight do you still have those moments where all sounds go awohl?
Also whats not clear to me is wether this (using 16/32/64/128 or other values for the sound) is something you can set in the ingame options or maybe in the cfg.

How many missions are in the OA Campaign? If we completed them, there were only 4?

Ingame setting, options - audio options : at the bottom there you can select that.

Yea, I was watching a Chinook EVAC a squad through thermals and thought I was watching the real thing for a moment, I love the thermal integration especially for multiplayer!!

First impressions are pretty darn good. The new maps are biiiig and detailed. The new guns are beefy and come with a lot of different options. Voices feel a little less "MAN. OVER. THERE." but maybe thats just because I've finally gotten used to it.

Loving everything about it so far , my only gripe being the backpacks not in a box , specially in Dom , after half an hour theres like 20 unused packs littered around the ammo box :P

It's a great expansion. Played it single player yet though, but I love it. The best purchase for years and definitely worth it. They even integrated some cool features of ACE like back pack, sight adjustment and switching optics. And: no crash or severe bug within six hours of playing. Well done, BIS.

The OA is awesome. I think its more than expansion.
Campaign is also playable. (Its alot better then Harvest Red) The new features are amazing.
Only bad thing i spotted is the Zargabad is almost unplayable due lag. (Only the large town the other places run better)
I made a mission where i had to capture an large building: I shooted enemies from the roof. Some seconds later one enemy walked behind me, but i killed him before he got me on his sights. :-D
I don't have seen any bugs yet.

4 posts in a row (+OP) reporting no major snags or problems out of the gate.
Sounds promising.
Do you guys think you could post your specs so that if there is a common denominator it'll stand out?

Loving OA. With the combined version I have been waging an all out war in the editor. (especially with some good addons). I really like the Takistan army and the premise of the whole situation. Played through the first two missions of the campaign and loved them, there not boring like Harvest Red was (i didn't even want to finish it). Sound is been upgraded too. Most guns are the same but vehicles sound much better.

FLIR is awesome, I love having it in the Bradleys and M1A2s. BIS really hit this one out of the park. :-) ;D

Performance wise, Takistan is mostly like Chernarus for me, which is decent/playable. I was hoping for bigger performance increase though. Zargabad actually is smoother than Takistan for me, which is cool.

I'll be stuck in the editor playing with all the new toys! (too many that I love to list).

So far I've seen no game-braking bugs or anything really noticable, AI actually use buildings and Medics actually get to you before you die! Only thing I wish was fixed is that when you are in a turrent all the sounds are muffled like you are actually inside a vehicle, but your really not.

BIS, ;D
This is awesome.
