Hi all, I am making multicam reskin for OA US army units. Taking suggestions, and I need some nice pics of MC on us army guys. I still got a lot of work to do, but this is what I have so far :)

I may release a beta, but I've only got one unit configged so far. vests etc are not done as well.

to mods: perhaps merge my threads to one WIP thread, if you feel i should only have one thread.

nice and clean...

There are quite a few pictures on this site linked below. Just search "army multicam" or any other variations.

Looks great. I was hoping for something like this. Im not a big fan of ACU anyway :)

Will this be a replacement pack or seporate units?

By replacement pack i mean will the units show up on your screen wearing multicam if you have this mod but if the other players dont have it they will show up as ACU?

Or will they be seporate units all togeather?

keep up the good work they are lookin' cool *THUMBS UP*

separate, and replacement. There will be one PBO with the files, and one with the replacement config.
edit: and yes, they will show up as multicam in multiplayer, if they don't have it, yeah, it will show up as ACU if they don't have the replacement pack.

@sealvi - thanks I'll take a look at that :)

It's the one the comes with OA, I just copied the models and texs and retexed them. And those are actually a reskin and edit of the USMC guys in ArmA 2..................

that aside, I am making progress with the rest of the unit.

My to do list, numbers represent priority:

correct pattern size and angle
correct camo color contrast etc,
add dirt, wear and tear
ALL multicam*
configs

* i may make a mixed version, as some soldiers today have a mix of UCP and Multicam.

edit: here!

here is a few pics of US Army soldiers in Afghanistan in multicam.

One thing to note is that the US Army has largely transitioned to light plate carriers in Afghanistan vs the heavier IOTV vests that BIS has on these units. I do not believe that the IOTV has even been fielded in multicam so that might be one thing you might want to switch on the units if you can. your pattern so far looks pretty good if a little dark. perhaps tone down the greens and dark browns a bit and make the pattern a bit smaller. other then that, looks good.

thanks a lot guys.

And yeah, for the vest, I'm not quite sure, I think I will keep it as is since I don't have the MLODs.

btw, it's actually the MTV vest with a very nice ACU and iotv retex.
