# cancan69 : thankyou very much man ... I've solved all problems. The only thing I don't like is that with a Digital F-35's Hud I can't see what I've just locked on ... maybe this is realistick for strela or tank's cannons

Just tried this myself and I can see what I've locked on with the sidewinders and with the GAU-12 i can see a not so much a lock but a visual reference of the target so i can line up the cannon, with the GBU-12 Paveways there is no lock as they are free-fall bombs. You know this right?

I mean a modern aircraft radar and his HUD can recognise the name of the target you locked on; now it seems a f-4 phantom technology that captures all the heat of the vehicle and not his name etc ...

Edited : No... GBU - 12 are laser/lock on guided bombs

Yes I know that GBU-12's are laser guided bombs, as I have been the pilot many times when acquiring these locks, However with ACE it doesnt and wont tell you ther names of the targets, I am guessing this is what happens in real life too, its not as if Capt. Reginald locks onto a Laser lock in 'Stan and it says "Lada 1200 Saloon" does it? Thats what the spotter on the ground is for.

If you feel this is too much for you I suggest not playing with the ACE mod.

Ok go into the @ACE folder\store and extract the userconfig.tar zip then copy the files inside, go to the userconfig in the arma2 directory and make a folder inside that called ACE, places the files there.

Also if you want to use the many features ACE provides then you will have to edit the ace_clientside_config, just look for the part:

Edit where you see my name (VIPER) to match your ingame name

extract from the store folder and then add it to the userconfig folder inside the arma2 directory (inside program files) but make sure when you go inside the userconfig folder to make a folder named ACE then put the files there, i did state that in an earlier comment ;)

This has probably already been answered and I just didn't see it, or I'm just stupid and don't know the answer. I just started playing ARMA 2 about a month ago. I just got ACE installed today, I tried flying with some of my planes I had before and I didn't have a eject feature for one, or if I did I had no parachute. Is their a solution to this I heard that some mods that are uncompatiable might be the problem might be the case but any help would be nice.
Examples of the mods:
the Few
F-14 Tomcat by Southy
F-16 Fighting Falcon by Myke
X-02 Wyvern by CheyenneAh56
Maule M7 by Rocket
Again any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Where have you put the addons?
Do you have Arma 2 or Arma Operation Arrowhead?
What @ACE mods do you have?
What @ACE version do you have?
What game version do you have?
