There's an ASR addon that allows AI fast rope in ACE, but normally it's a player only feature.

SLX and ACE2 aren't really compatible. You'll have to choose. Full conversion mods are difficult to combine, that said, I do use quite a few SLX pbo's in my set-up with ACE2 (slx_anim_death,slx_impacts,slx_ai,slx_identify,slx_noautoengage,slx_findcover), but I'd recommend not getting to worked up about making them both work together.
Provided you have set-up your userconfig correctly, and bound the key in your settings in-game, then it's likely SLX is cancelling out some ACE features once loaded.

Just asking again, this was absolutely asked again I'm sure of it; but I do not have the time to go shifting through hundreds of posts to find it so I'll ask again. Does anyone else have a huge problem with Pilot black outs? Cause these black outs are getting on my freaking nerves and kills all fun in dog fighting. I don't know if this is just because I fly with Meatball's F/A-18/E/F Super hornet addon (Which when you start out as flying, your going 700), or is it just because this feature is too aggressive. I turn my jet and bank left or right a couple of degrees and bam...black out.

Every time i look for a solution, they always give me two answers; "Make sure your not flying as a grunt" (Which is obvious, i start out in a jet every time), or "If you don't like the black out feature, don't play it" - to me that's just not fair. To add a feature that effects my game play and then the only solution you tell me is to not play the mod is a problem. I love the mod, its just that one, and only problem.

# Killer227 : huge problem with Pilot black outs?

I took a look inside the ace_sys_g_effects.pbo and it seemed to suggest that g-force effects only apply to non-pilots (pilots & crew are unaffected)
I opened a mission and flew as a BAF_Soldier, then as a BAF_Pilot.
Sure enough, the g-force-effects were diminished, almost non-existant as a pilot.
Does this help?
If not, it may be that you have to have an 'empty' plane and a seperate 'pilot' character, not start as a 'player-as-pilot' -- that might be the solution

Added 8 minutes later:

# loneranger7 : error no entry bin soldier GG scope
That's inside a .pbo, where the game has the weapon, but the .pbo has an incomplete entry for it (esp. where the editor looks for it as a placeable item). It's just got missed somehow when the maker compiled the addon - nothing you can do without de-pbo and changing stuff - just ignore it until the mod/addon gets updated (if it ever does).

As for the stretchers and bodybags, they are probably only map editor placeable items - though I believe there is a script around somewhere that allows for stretcher bearers. It may even be a feature in one of the mods out there. (Just search if it's really important to you)

Is there a way to change the shown name of the GPS Markers? I've found out you can change side and size but I've failed to see how to change the name of the unit that is tracked.

Anyone?

Searched everywhere even on the wiki & wagn

Edit: Found it, checked the wrong command and module

Script errors for me... nobody else....

I get lots of script error boxes (ascii in black box) during a round, usually associated with something to do with the ACE wounding system. But, it's just me. We all use the same SIX preset - ACE/CBA/ACRE/BETA. I have updated my ACE/CBA file repeatedly. Ideas on what the problem is or how to resolve (aside from turning off scrit error notification)?

You need full read-write access to that file so check the userconfig\ace folder make sure you can write to that folder as well as the config file itself.

Hard to say especially if you're the only one getting it... can you post any of the errors up here? Also your Arma RPT file might help if you can provide that as well.

Bless you my son.

A2OA (BAF, PMC and ACR are in there, too so that makes it CO), Beta (from SIX which is apparently really behind) or release.

Here's the rpt file. I deleted all contents, fired up the game and ran a few missions to fill it up a bit.

Wondering what "WARNING: Enhanced Armor difficulty options enabled - this is not recommended in conjunction with ACE Wounds!" might have to do with it. not even sure what to do about it as I never turned it on, nor do I know where to do so.

Added 38 minutes later:

Little more to add...

Simple editor mission

2 man enemy and 2 man friendly groups.
All ACE wounding modules except for epi/morphine

error pops up sooner or later.

# lawndartleo : (aside from turning off scrit error notification)?
If thats an advanced option, yeah, turn it off. If ACE runs ok. It's not without errors. probably ever.

#lawndartleo : "WARNING: Enhanced Armor difficulty options enabled
I get that message too. Again, nothing to worry about.

I've been having this problem with ACE. When I equip a backpack, it doesn't look right. It kinda wobbles around and doesn't stay on right.

Is this just a glitch, or can I fix it? Thanks in advance.

It's not a glitch, it's a feature, you can't change it, but some backpacks work better than others
