Not necessarily.
You can create new config.cpp, that consist (for example),
class CfgWeapons {
	class CannonCore;
	class 2M46 : CannonCore {
		ballistic_calculator = 1;
	};
}
pack it into new .pbo archive and put it into AddOns folder.

Ah, So I would have balca1.2.bpo, then xerxesaddition.bpo in the folder and it would work? Spasiba, tovarishch! Now I can be like Petr Mikhin!

Edit, dammit. added in a .bpo with just what you've posted in the config.cpp and it doesn't work. Using V1.1 atm for testing this so I don't have to find the vehicle class aswell.

Edit2, Nevermind! You know what helps? Actually getting the name of hte gun you want right :/

Edit3: Now I have an issue! I've been able add everything else that i wanted except for the D81. As far as I can tell there's a problem with me trying to use it as a subclass of CannonCore while it is being a Superclass of 2A70. (Mind you I am a complete newbie!)

I think the problem with the SABOTs is thier time to life. Same thing for the 2A70 HE.

Sabots is no supposed to indirect fire. Because IRL tank's smoothbore cannon have no enough precision to do it.
2A70 is already most long-range weapon in game.

And I do not want override any config entries to better compability.

Well the Sabots sure, but do the HE shells work? I remember reading about how in the Yugoslav conflicts T72's were used as ad-hoc artillery because of thier 125mm HE. (haven't had a chance to test you new version yet)

Edit: Forgot, i disagree on the 2A70. In my testing I found that after a point the shell seems to just disappear, going by how no explosion happens after a point.

balca_reloader.pbo - for ArmA 2 only.
balca_reloader_OA.pbo - for OA only.
So is no need to use them together.

Balca v1.4

New
  • Works with Grad and MLRS.
  • Rangefinder. Enable BalCa, aim to target place and push "space".
  • By default rangefinder is enabled on BMP3,AAV,BTR90. To enable it to other vehicles add balca_rangefinder = 1; to vehCfg.
  • Additional crosshair that helps to aim in direct fire mode. It appears only on vehicles with enabled rangefinder.
  • Added support for variable arty charges.

Changed
  • Now works without item in inventory. But BalCa item allows you to use it with every weapon on every land vehicle.
  • Recalculates solutions when fire mode or current magazine changed.
  • Works only at gunner's place in vehicle.
  • Do not requires CBA.

1.4demo>>1.4 changes
  • Now again compatible with ArmA2.
Comparing it with the new BIS arty.
  • Still works with every weapon, not only where shells are with disabled airfriction.
  • Also provides low solution, so minimal range for arty does not exist.
  • Should be more handy to cover area.

No, it is another version. 1.4demo/prerelease and 1.4 is different. Thing, that I posted yesterday on BIS forums was not approved to wide release. It is the reason why I didn't posted it here. No need to frontpage it again, but update description and files would be nice.

Ah ok, I see now.....sorry about that than.
Please if you do not want a certain file mirrored could you add a message to the post? No everyone is as kind as you are and posts his releases here to make sure we are aware of new releases so in fact we always make news what we find unless its clearly stated it should not be mirrored/announced.

Excellent addon conKORD,

However, you say it works with MLRS and GRAD? I have tried using it in an MLRS, and I only get negative elevation numbers (-1-67 for elevation and correct numbers for azimuth, for example).

Works as expected in all cannons, vehicles etc. Only MLRS seems to be a problem.

I have tried using the addweapon method for both Soldier and Vehicle, no difference.

Yes I have downloaded the correct addon too.

Any suggestions?

I am using CBA, as I need it for other addons I am using, will this make a difference?

ArmA2 or OA? It works only with OA's 1.54 grad and MLRS. What shows string in bottom of display? Low solution/high solution/calculating/select target on map? Is any errors in RPT?

CBA or any any other addons do not affects on BalCa. It created in case of maximum compatibility.
