IMO the best sound mod out there at the moment for OA. The bullet impact noises are great. My one suggestion would be to add more of a "crack" noise when firing the weapons to make them louder. A lot of the guns like the M16 sound too dull when firing.

Love the sound mod but my 2 complaints for constructive criticism would be (A) fully auto sounds like a repeating semi auto sound and doesn't sound authentic. (B) The rocket firing sounds (eg the Carl Gustav) just sound strange. Just 2 things for you to consider. Keep up the great work!

Yeh, some folks inherit star spangled eyes,
ooh, they send you down to war, Lord,
And when you ask them, how much should we give,
oh, they only answer, more, more, more, yoh,

It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no military son, SON, NO
It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no fortunate one, NO N

Since this soundmod is considered the best by so many people, I would like to use it. However I can't seem to find any information on two questions that I have.
Q#1) Is this sound mod fully compatible with ACE and ACE_SM? And,
Q#2) To install this soundmost with the latest version and all futures, do I need to install each part individually and then patch them, or is there a final, stable, all-inclusive download that I haven't come across yet?

I am very macho.

Hey,

this mod is compatible with ACE, not ACE SM. You should choose one of the two. And no, you don't have to download seperate packs. There is the new 1.3FULL which conatins everything you need! One download, done!

Maybe you should wait for a week until the last error fixed. You don't want to download the package twice I guess (~650 MB).

Hi, I've downloaded your mod and installed correctly, with all sounds working fine (they're very good)

Only thing I hate is the AI voices, in which I am barley able to hear. I can hear mind fine, when giving orders.
But when AI give me orders to move/target/cover/ the voices are dim.

Is there a repair/update/something I should remove to prevent this?

@Jarhead,
I use SIX for almost all my mods unless it isn't there. However I noticed that there are not full versions of JSRS available there. Is that going to change? What I end up doing is downloading the four packs seperately and then copy/pasting all the addons into one folder to keep my target line short enough to fit; doing that messes up with the updating process.
[edit] Well now I see that Jarhead only has 3 posts and his last one was a long time ago.. oh well.

I am very macho.

The only reason they're in the four-packs is so LJ keeps track of what pbo does what i.e. v=vehicle vw=vehicle weapons w=weapons e=enviroment, also so you can mix and match what you want in a @JSRS folder as its all modular, its a bit of a pain in the arse with SU as it also keeps to this tracking system... you could always skip making a short-cut targetline by just running the game via SU. :-)
