:conSo what you are saying is you can safely install it clientside and still play on a public server without it affecting connection to it? or does it require the server to have any mods?

You can use the MOD on any server and i think you will see the new reskins. BUT! In order to use the new features you will have to add these into the mission itself, which means running the MOD on the server.

Hope this helps ;)

Your are right, all the mines and such will be usable....just not the arty and air support. As far as I have noticed. As far as skins, sounds and effects, the XAM user will see them, the non-XAM will see the normal ARMA stuff...just watch out for the land mines ;)

BRING ON NEW SF SKINS! Cause the current ones suck! :lol

It did it to me as well. I think it might be if you have vista. Im running vista and i downloaded it from the author site, and here at armaholic. And both times i couldnt install unistall. If possible could someone get all the files, and just upload them in a folder like all other addons. This may be the only way we could do it. What you can do instead of installing them into arma, you could try installing them into a empty folder.

UPDATE: I found out the problem. It specifically says to close all windows programs. If you are running vista make sure your windows defender and if you have hp personal assistant make sure to close that.

How do you use the Tactical Map in the strykers?

I don't really care about the radio in the UH60, but I don't hear any music when I play it. Anyone else have this problem?

Oh man, I will have to check that out....I cannot remember at this moment. But I will find out or let Datakill answer you on that.

Kinda off topic, I think its funny music in the helo's but we can't see a number of magazines we have left or rounds left? hmmm....I never rode in a Helo that had music other than maybe Psycological Operations Helicopters.

The reason why I didn't have any music while playing the radio was because I didn't have my music option turned on in my audio settings.

To use the Sat View Monitor, you must be in thegunner seat of a command stryker. Only in a command stryker, no other stryker.

However in the video clip, I recall seeing a Tactical Map interface. It looked like a GR:AW Tac Map interface.

Was this replaced with the Sat View Monitor?

Hi all

As i'm currently working on the manual translation, I've made this part for you quickly. So, sorry if you find errors or bad technical expressions, it's not corrected yet. Hope it will help

Satellite view
The satellite view allow you to look everywhere on the map and zoom on the battlefield. C'est un
atout non négligeable, et il est vivement conseillé de l'utiliser autant que possible. Son fonctionnement est très
simple et son côté tactique très intéressant.
The satellite view monitor is in the stryker, at the gunner seat. Simply click on "satellite monitor to access its interface:

A- Interface
Let's see the different functions of the buttons
Z1 - Z6: Use these buttons to zoom, Z1 is the closest view, and Z6 is the farest.
Box X and Y: To type the coordinates X and Y of a point you want to have a view

Set Pos: Click on this button to move at the indicated position

Start NV On/Off: To turn on / off the night view
System Off: To escape the satellite view (Or press escape key).
Real Time Pos: Current position at the satellite view center
Display Map On/Off: display map or not (transparency)
Page 16

B- How it works
The most important thing with the satellite view is to know the destination point. A spotter or a soldier equipped with a telemeter allow you to know that.
Note: You'll find more informations about the coordinates calculation in the section "Artillery". The calculation system is exactly the same for the satellite monitor
Then, enter the coordinates in the X and Y boxes and click on "set pos". The view will move to this point. To see closer or higher, press the zoom buttons.
To see the map in trasparency use the "display on/off" button, and "Start NV On/Off" for the night vision.
You can move the transparency map with a "click an drop", you can alos zoom on it with the mouse wheel. If the command and control Stryker driver is a AI, you can order him to move at a postion by clicking on the map.
The red dot on the map indicates where the satellite view is.
