Since we are a quite new to this part of the gaming world i would like to use this topic to introduce yourself.
- personal information (if you like)
- gaming
- what are you doing here
- other basic informations

Hello. Everyone calls me "Wulf", including family and all my friends. I'm in my mid 30's, and live somewhere in the Eastern US. At this paticular stage, I enjoy various games on various platforms; for exmample: as for Playstation games: I enjoy the various flavors of the Call Of Duty series, ALL Grand Theft Auto Flavors, and since 2001 have basicaly played around on the PC/WINBLOWS platform with OFP, and now ARMA (recent aquire, LOVE IT)...

I'm here because I've used this site to leech various addons for my Arma, and development of something I'm working on (my own game with a very orignal 1st player storyline, and a VERY DIFFERENT multiplayer expierence). As for my favorite addon, I'd have to say it would be the Stryker with the 105mm gun at this point. NICE... LOVE IT!!! I couldnt find that for OFP...

What I'd like to see: I'd LOVE to have an LCAC (Marine Hovercraft - transport) modeled and skinned for Arma. I havnt been able to locate that ANYWHERE, while I have been able to locate one for OFP. Has anyone converted that paticular one, or created an LCAC for ARMA?

I have a question for people: what do you use to plan your operations (missions), before actually fireing up Armaedit, and the built-in editor? Myself: I use a pencil or pen, and a piece of paper :P :)

whassup Wulf

i try to make my missions as HUGE and lag balanced as possible. i try to find scripting or methods of creating a long long term battle, not tiny scenario missions. i like large scale war with lots of vehicle variety and locations. so, as of right now my favorite mission serious is the evolution and the throwback revolution missions.cant wait to see your mods. btw try to follow the rules to a T or these guys Foxhound and Big will put ur balls in a vice. so wait your making your own game thats pretty sweet

iono if i introduced myself completely if at all. ill hook you up if i can. like its nobodies business but my own might i add. like yeah not what u think. favor for a favor though usually not free.

Always nice to have another GR addict (like myself) around - though I don't really play it anymore. Arma takes up all my time now. So have you tried ArmA? You say you only play GR.

New member here...I just joined Armed Assault Info and Armaholic

when ArMa was initially released I didn't have the proper pc for this and money to buy the game.
thanks to eBay, I was finally able to acquire the US Gold Edition.

I was referred here by another ArMa gamer and was told to start d/l the patches 1.05 & 1.08.

I'm mostly a SP player, but was warned that its not as fun as MP.
Unfortunately RL doesn't allow me that much time (after work)

I used to be in the USMC 1986-87 up to 1992..as a POG :blues: ...so my interest is mostly USMC related mods.
I d/l John's Marine Units and Replacement packs

still not sure on what else I should d/l....I was advice to get the A.C.E, XAM, and AIMPOINT M4s, I didn't see any Weapons mod current to the USMC inventory as fas TRIJICON is concern....haven't explored the forum that much

I'm a regular at GhostRecon.net, AGR-S.com and now Blackfootstudios.com...I'm keeping same Forum name so I'll easily remember.

some of you might see the same message as Armed Assault Info...so my intent to join this ArMa community is the same.

thanks for this forum also

Hi and :welcome to armaholic.

About the patches i guess US version comes at least on 1.06 so they were wrong with the patching process. And since you have the gold edition which comes with Queen's Gambit Expansion if you install both i guess you would get the 1.08 version after the install process. Not sure anyways.

The best way to know it it's install the game and the expansion and then start it. In the main screen you should see the game version.

Here is a patching guide so you can get the needed patch(s): (latest stable patch is 1.14, 1.15 is still beta)
http://www.armaholic.com/plug.php?e=faq&q=12

About SP you can check our download section, the same for Campaigns, where you should find many missions.
