Just a suggestion (if you're doing ranks), Mil-Sim unit's, and some players love variety in rank and classes, different from the norm (example):

Rifleman - Specialist

Rifleman II - Private First Class

Auto. Rifleman - Specialist

Sniper - Corporal?

Spotter - Specialist?

Fire Team Leader - Sergeant

Squad Leader - Staff Sergeant

Platoon SGT - Sergeant First Class

Platoon Leader - 1st Lieutenant

Company CO - Captain

Just some ideas

@DevilDog

You asked if he is gonna add ranks, I asked if he is gonna add extra units (Like the Platoon Leader & Platoon SGT)

I really like ArmyOfOne's idea of adding ranks to specific "classes" of soldiers in game, it's something I've felt the game has lacked .

Negative. Go back and read it. I asked if he was going to associate ranks with positions. Granted, I didn't give a run down like you did, regardless of how inaccurate it may be. I'm active Army (combat arms).

@DevilDog

I meant to ask if he was going to add extra positions, not just the normal guys. If you ever used the 82nd AB Div. for ArmA you would have an idea. As for the ranks I was bored and figured to write them down. Fox said he may add ranks, I asked if they were going to be realistic, it was an idea from your idea.

"...I didn't give a run down like you did, regardless of how inaccurate it may be.", I don't think it was inaccurate, the most common OR is SPC (Which can be associated with rifleman), and the most common NCO rank is SGT (which can be associated with a TL), SSG for SL. A Platoon SGT is most commonly a SFC, and a Platoon leader goes from O-1 to O-2, I just stated O-2 because no one likes green officers from what I see and hear.

Anyways Fox, great units and keep up the work!

Just FYI, mate. TL's are anything from SGT, CPL, and even SPC. Your typical Plt Sgt is going to be a SSG. For PL's it doesn't matter. Just because they're totally lost (just like a PVT), has nothing to do with the post and rank. They have to get their experience somewhere, and that is at the PL level for a "butter bar". It's a billet.

Congrats on picking Cav Scout. Good MOS, though more often than not one of the most dangerous.

Looks like Fox decided to take off or something. I have no idea what brought it on, but here is the BIS forums thread.

For some reason (apparently that they are not releasing addons publicly), it appears BI has essentially "banned" PMC from the forums. Since Fox is affiliated, he has decided to leave as well. Its a damn shame any way you look at it.

Armstrong-"Hey Carillo, do you see that?"
Carillo-"See what?"
Armstrong-"Something's burning over there, see the smoke?"
Carillo-"That's not smoke it's dust!"
Armstrong-"Dust? i don't get it."

I have nothing to do with the incident other than being a team member. I do hope i am still welcome here at the forums. I'm not giving up anything other than BI forums. I do not like the community there too much and was planning to leave anyway.

I guess I missed your post.
I see no reason why you should not be welcome here, as far as I can tell you are not the one who caused this issue and wether you are a member on their forums is not relevant.

Snake man and PMC on the other hand do and as such I have taken the action I think is right in this case.

So, I hope to see more of your work for the community to enjoy here on Armaholic.

I rather not see here any info about whatever the issue is, it might give people ideas.
Use PM's when you really feel the need to share the info about it.
Thank you.
