You can download it from Sprocket, a link to it can be found on our shop page.
Also steam has it available but I have no link to it.

Visit my family webshop desteigerhoutshop.nl.

You're lucky, I can not even install the fantastic downloader sprocket.exe (why the hell do I need a downloader anyway?) on my computer because some wicked DLL is missing. It's probably my fault, I am using that very rare OS Win7. Great.

Maybe you need the downloader so you can resume aborted downloads? Or maybe you need the downloader so it can grab the files from a remote server which is - for a reason - not available to the general public?

If you get a missing DLL error then how about
a) Contact Sprocket support
b) Search Google for the missing dll

But of course it's easier to complain in a forum which has nothing to do with Sprocket Idea at all.

BTW: That downloader just worked fine for me a couple of days ago and I'm also using that mysterious Windows 7.

Maybe I am tired of being forced to install millions of proprietary tools on my computer I have no idea what else than downloading they do? Maybe resuming downloads is a standard feature of any common browser these days? Maybe several people reported the same problem in the BIS forum, so one might wonder, why there is no hint on the download site, that this problem might occurr and how to solve it? Maybe I am not too keen on downloading a DLL from some website I don't know, because I do not want to share information on my online banking account? Maybe dowloading Arma patches, files, mods, etc. worked just fine via ftp for ages without any downloader tool? Maybe I just like the idea of being able to download a file I have paid for immediately without having any technical issues or having to do research on google? Maybe I am a little bit disappointed, that that's not the case?

I don't know what's the point in your post. I replied to meloco, I did not intend to start a discussion about sprocket, who's to blame, how to fix it, or whatever. Thanks for your advice, but don't worry, I am able to solve the problem myself.

However, I like your missions. ;-)

You are right. Did not notice that.

# kju : But yes you love to complain..

Is that so? I don't get this impression browsing my last posts. Most of the times I comment on good missions. Whatever...

# Foxhound : Sproket's Download Manager Fix

Thanks anyway.

I had a myriad of issues after downloading OA from sprocket. It would complete the download, but wouldn't launch the installer. All you have to do is go into Documents, and the executable will be visible in the Sprocketfolder. This seems to be related to certain Win7 configurations.

As far as I can remember it nowhere says that the Downloader will launch the installer when done. It just downloads the setup file(s) to your documents folder, running the installer you need to do.

I have never downloaded a game from anywhere, I always buy it on a disk for that I'd like to actually have a physical copy and all the problems people seem to get.
But today I brought BAF from sprocket as its the only way (DLC duh! :-P ), it was really fast and easy.
I didn't have to wait for delivery and I didn't have to go into town and im supporting BI more.
Its the future and I will buy any thing else from BI from sprocket in the future.
But steam does seem to have always have problems so im not going there yet.

I would stay away from Steam, I had only problems with them so far.

And they seem to be slow as hell with distributing the patches and BAF seems to be still unavailable from what I heard. Maybe they live in their own timezone.
