For some time already there is a new website available which seems to be aimed at another DLC or expansion and a campaign for Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead.
There is a client area on the website and till this point the community has found seven different logins and each of those is leading to different background information about this new content.
Visit the www.ion-inc.com and try to figure out the login details to see all revealed info for yourself. The logins are not hard to find, but if you fail you can always use this topic on the BI forums for some help.

Another piece of info can be found on the www.aan-online.com website where there is an article about Black Element International changing their name, you can find the article here.

Quote :
An offical spokesperson described the transition as being "just one part of our global corporate strategy to redefine our focus upon more generic company services", with ION seeking to appeal to a broader base of clients, moving away from specialist excellence, into the more lucrative generic field.

Black Element :: Black Element garnered a blackened reputation following several incidents. ION, Inc. :: The new logo is part of a new corporate strategy.

The change follows a series of complications in various flashpoints around the globe, including Tajikistan and the Aleutian Islands. Chernarus correspondant, Joe Harris, provided this analysis:

What's clear is that Black Element are seeking to disassociate themselves from their stained history. 'Cowboys' isn't really the word; rather, these contractors considered themselves as knights, riding around the globe and thrusting their gauntlets into the faces of any who might dare to challenge them.''

Well I certainly like the idea. I just hope it's far better than the last expansion featuring PMC's. It was, well, um total crap... *cough* Queens Gambit *cough*.

Glad to see continued developer/co-developer involvement in the series so don't take this wrong, but IMO the effort would be better served by filling out the current factions TO&E, or adding in some of the features found in their enterprise programs. The "Toggle Personal Items" option would make more sense and be more useful to me than just another faction -and a doo-ragged one at that...but it appears that this is already in the cards, so that's that.

Not too fond of the easter-egg hunt nature of this either.

FLMAO! The voice acting is absolutely atrocious, and comical at that. The VA for BAF was quite good, no idea how they crapped this together. I'm getting that Queen's Gambit felling again... ya know, like that nauseous feeling right before you puke.

Not interested at all in this. IMO it'll be a waste of time and money. How about Aussie troops and equipment? BTW the BAF really lacked in vehicles, very disappointed there.

Thats just a matter of perspective, what you are saying is you wont buy until they release Aussie DLC, now thats not supporting BIS at all, maybe they need alot of money from DLC's before they can create your Aussie DLC :-D

So is their going to be a PMC lite, because we got BAF lite with the last patch.

Life is not an easy matter... You cannot live through it without falling into frustration and cynicism unless you have before you a great idea which raises you above personal misery, above weakness, above all kinds of perfidy and baseness.

So that means by the end of the month there will be another OA patch? Thats the only way they can give us (lite), well the only logical way. I dont much care about the (lite) version anyhow as I will be purchasing, why get low res textures/sounds :-D
