Ill be getting it anyway. And like Viper said they must have a next patch. But what else could they find and fix it in 10 days?

Life is not an easy matter... You cannot live through it without falling into frustration and cynicism unless you have before you a great idea which raises you above personal misery, above weakness, above all kinds of perfidy and baseness.

# Ozone : they need to stop making DLCs and lite and make a dvd version

dlc
/ light version is to small to burn a dvd if they have a couple then its worth to burn it and ship it around the world, the releases are to small to make the bother to burn it -> someday they maybe will release it or maybe they wont, at first i did not want to shift money over internet to pay for it but in the end it was worth doing it and its only 8 to 9 euros max so whats the fuzz? like this most of the people can offort it if it is shipped on dvd in the end you need to pay like betwean 30 to 40 euros all at once....

just a thought, you can't make everyone happy and they know that :-) but so far they did not forget anyone in the community they read they understand and they do something with the feedback that they are getting...

I'm buying it... reason? I support BIS projects and am happy what I'm handed. Don't look the gift-horse in the mouth and say 'I don't like it, give me something better now or I'll shoot you ya old nag'. I've bought ArmA2, ArmA2: Operation Arrowhead and ArmA2: British Armed Forces and loved each one.

Honestly, $10 USD. Not a real punch to the wallet. And the cost to burn it to DVD will up it, then the case.... then the paper/ink for the covers and lil' booklet on how to install/run/controls/etc. Then theres looking for people to sell it then to ship it to'm. Then the store tacks on their profit. In the end it's cheaper/easier to just make it a DLC.

In my honest opinion, if you support BIS then buy it. If you're just a greedy child who wants everything your way or say 'The community can make better addons/mods for free' then very well. But I honestly don't think it's mature to buy ArmA2:CO/ArmA2:OA then just bluntly say 'Oh I'm not going to but it it's a bad idea blah blah blah'.

Opinions are good but if it's all just 'I want it done like this and like that' then keep it private and personally message them in a kind request/opinion instead of acting like a person who was given a Snickers bar when you wanted a Payday. Just nod and accept it and carry on quietly and not eat it. But here just nod your head with kind words and not buy it instead of outright insulting BIS. And yes, I've seen people actually insult BIS outright for making these DLCs... quite childish.

My remark ^^

I would buy it, but for some reason, my copy of OA won't let me install correctly, and it crashes exactly 5 minutes after launch. its not FADE, because the game will let me patch, and I am using a legit key and all that nonsense, but it still won't let me play! :-( But, if I do get it fixed, I will be buying it for sure! I love BIS, they make a game thats amazing, then they allow you to go ahead and make it even better with the modding abilites and mission making. I just don't see a better game!

What an awesomely interesting storyline. I haven't been a massive fan of campaigns but THIS looks excellent. Well done BIS for going a little 'left of field' and produce something really innovative. I can't wait to play this campaign with my mate each Friday night. ;)

# Sigint :...
My remark ^^
You can take issue with the direction that BIS take the series, as well as how that direction is implemented (DLC-only) while still supporting the developer and respecting their efforts.
There are plenty of examples out there of what happens to titles that went south due to the customer base sitting back on their hands and closed-mouthed while the devs took them on tangents. The old argument; Constructive Critics vs Cheerleaders.

On the other hand, posts complaining about the price-point of the DLC are just pollution...and should be cleaned up.
____
My remark...I'm a dinosaur who prefers hard copy in my hot little hands and so am hoping (in vain?) for a Gold version retail DVD pressing of the DLC content sometime down the line.
