Hi there!

I've recently seen a load of videos which include first person action (which most videos of Arma 2 do, naturally)
In many of these videos I've noticed something I couldn't quite put my finger on how could be.

In the video in >this article<for example, you see the guy move around his LMG, but with the crosshairs following the direction of the mouse and only when reaching a certain point on the screen would it turn the point of view.

I've seen this before in videos of people using TrackIR and the likes, and that makes perfect sense, however, most of the people I've seen do this like so, have not been using either of those tracking devices, as stated by themselves. This might be untrue, given the possible awkwardness of using only a mouse and a keyboard for that maneuvering.

Thus I am here to ask you, humble users of ArmaHolic; how in the heck do I make it so that I can do the same movements?

Go to game options in the main menu and change floating zone.

Moved to general, is not troubleshooting but simply game settings.

Visit my family webshop desteigerhoutshop.nl.

First off welcome to Armaholic *HI*

Easy as pie as fox said its in Game Options, Under Aiming Deadzone, its sensitive to 0-1 you have a scroll bar so test what feels best for you, personally i have it off, but it does look good in video's.

Then its just a case of moving the mouse :-)

To free-look press NumPad * and move your mouse, alternatively hold down the Alt key.

Thanks for the warm welcome, and thanks both of you for the aid :)

I just tested it and it works like a charm. It's not set as wild as most videos, including the one I linked to, but it works and it's definately a good tool for recording aswell!

Bear in mind though that if you use this, you can't stick a little crosshair to your screen so as to get an aiming point on servers that use the highest difficulty setting... Not that I do that ¬_¬
