It just seems that STEAM is just getting better at what it does! some of us hate it, some of us love it!
but look what STEAM is coming up with now, and this is only a little part of what they have in store
for us all.

This thread is to discuss all about STEAM, what you hate and love most about them, and what they can
do to improve or make things better, also about the 3 links below.

Topic One: "Steam killing PC games Market"

Topic Two: "PS3 to open up the Valve with Steam"

Topic Three: "Steam landing on Macs"

Keep on topic please, and base it all around STEAM related discussion. :-D

Never used it and don't intend to start...ever.
The simple facts that you have to operate within the Steam environment, that it uses different directory structures than stock -with all of the reported related headaches that brings- coupled with Steams reputation for delayed patch support rule out this service for me.
Sprockets method of DTD is superior IMO...still, hard copy FTW.

It is alright but I would rather not use it.
I think it would be a good idea to start off a poll.
What do you think of "Steam".
I have never used it before.
I have never used it before and I never will.
Awesome.
Alright. (Okay).
Crap.
Mega crap.

Aight, when I tried to use it, it gave my computer the blue screen, over and over and over again. So I can't use it, even though all my friends do. And for that reason, I hate it, even though I love it when no one is looking :)

Honestly,

I hate the Idea of downloading software. And Steam is made for that. I feel much more safe to have the physical CD or hard copy in my hands. I don't Care if you can go back to re-download the software who know how many times. Because if something happens to steam to the point where you are not able to re-install your software on you computer then I'm going to be pissed. And I will be Really pissed if they stop selling Hard Copies of software in the future. Besides that HACKERS are my mine concern, Doesn't matter how good your security is, There is always a weak spot to crack.

My point, Its always better to own a hard copy then Digital Download.

P.S: I don't need internet to play.

Yeah i have steam and use it occasionally but it annoys me when games 'need' steam to run. But it is...ok i guess, that you can find ancient games on their when you can't find a hard copy of it. I'd say im 50/50 with it.

Life is not an easy matter... You cannot live through it without falling into frustration and cynicism unless you have before you a great idea which raises you above personal misery, above weakness, above all kinds of perfidy and baseness.
