I am trying to make some short films using the Project 85 mod about a WWIII scenario on the East/West German border circa 1988. Rather than just being battle footage showing off all the magnificent period units, it is character-based and story-driven, so I need to custom-make or at least custom-save individual units to represent each character. For example, the main character is a US Army soldier, but simply placing 'US Army soldier' in the Editor in different scenes will likely produce models with different faces etc, which would ruin the films somewhat.

Is there a way to save a custom unit/loadout, so when selected and placed in the Editor, it is exactly the same? I tried doing the first scene with a generic P'85 'US Army soldier - M16' unit, and from scene to scene he changed from Caucasian to African-American.

I don't need any special textures, I am happy with what the mod offers in terms of units, I just need to save one particular 'man' and use him as the main character.

If anyone is interested or wants to make contributions to the films then please share your ideas.

Hi, same question here, is there a way to define in the unit selection dialog of the mission editor which face will have the unit??

I think that maybe using the init field it should be possible to select the face.

However i would need to know how to identify each face too, does each face has a unique class or name or something like that?

Thanks in advance

EDIT: Ok sorry, i continued searching and found this topic:

And then looked for the setface script mentioned there and found this http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/setFace

Havent tried yet, but i think it should work.

Hope this helps.
