I wasn't sure if this was the right place to ask this but i need help and i am asking you guys if you could teach me a thing or two about configs (i have made several models and they are just sitting here with no configs to put them in game because i suck lol)

Check line 39 in which you close the class CfgVehicles, hence the new units are ignored.

Removing that line should already fix a lot of your problems.

The "Old style material flags used - 1 (with texture 82nd_airborne\data\paratroopera.paa)" is the result of binarizing ArmA1 models. You can fix the problem by using Mikeros MoveObject tool.
The use is pretty simple (once you know how):
1) copy both the moveobject.exe and the model into a temp folder.
2) in the command prompt type: moveobject -R p3dname.p3d
The tool then creates a new p3d file with the old flag removed and renames the old one.
