I thought it was a good day to improve the search function we have here on our site. This is a complete update so the search has a lot more functions and can be told to search more specifically for something.

You can now:
    Forums:
      - Seach for a user in the forums
      - Search using keywords (max = set to 5) in forums
      - Define a timeline to search within
      - Search only in specific forum section(s)
      - Search in topic title or/and topic post
      - Highlighted keywords
      - Sort the results
    Pages:
      - Search using keywords (max = set to 5) in pages
      - Define a timeline to search within
      - Search only in specific page section(s)
      - Search in page title, page description and/or page body
      - Highlighted keywords
      - Sort the results
And some more..........

Make sure to try it when you look for some additional info about something. If you encounter any bugs please let us know!

Well it works here, but most of the time the search option acts weird for me.

Fox will have to check it.

You can do it, select Pages instead of Forums in the searching page.

ENABLED AGAIN!!!!!!

I was forced to disable the search plugin a few days back.

The search works again although we had to "downgrade" to a different search version. All issues should be fixed now.

Thanks for the effort with fixing them Armaholic, however I get this error when i try search at the moment?
2007-12-05 00:49
Fatal error : SQL error : You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '\'49\') GROUP BY t.ft_id ORDER BY fp_id DESC LIMIT 100' at line 5
I am searching only the forum and in the WIP section if it helps. If this is a mistake on my part, as always just ignore. :)

Edit: I just checked and it seems to work fine with the downloads section, but whenever I add or tick the forum section, it comes up with similar errors.

Edit2: Thanks Foxhound, no rush on anyone's account.

Issue reported by Bracks is fixed.

Now also its compatible with Yoma''s addon synchroniser so I will inform him he can add the armaholic search as a query to his program too :)

[edit]
If you want to point somebody at search results just link like this to the search function:
http://www.armaholic.com/plug.php?e=search&pre=xxxxxxxxx

Now all you have to do is replace those x's with the word you want to search for.
