# Burningpunk : Hello,

We have set the mso\mso_uids.txt on a dedi server like this:

[
["3065606", "LIEUTENANT", ["admin"]], /*Burningpunk*/
["1693574", "LIEUTENANT", ["admin"]], /*Arcanjo*/
["1475910", "LIEUTENANT", ["admin"]], /*Alex*/
["3089350", "SERGEANT", ["pilot","crew"]] /*Sinistro*/
]

The "Initialisation Complete" message never appears...basically the same problem as megagoth above....
Your file content looks fine. Can you post where you've located your file?
# Thermis : Having same problem, Initilization never gets past mp rights. Code is set up as follows.

[
["769729", "LIEUTENANT",["pilot"]] /*Cptkanito*/
["337728", "LIEUTENANT",["admin"]] /*Thermis*/
]
You've got a comma missing on your first line.
[
["769729", "LIEUTENANT",["pilot"]], /*Cptkanito*/
["337728", "LIEUTENANT",["admin"]] /*Thermis*/
]
Try that and see how you go.

Ok,

We have the server running on the following path (both Arma2 and Arrowhead installations are on the same folder):

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2

And we've created the mso folder as follows:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2\mso

And inside the mso folder we have just the mso_uids.txt file.

It never passes "Initialising: MP Rights"....

On a local server however (running it from arma2oa.exe), the mission seems to be working fine using the the same setup.

If anyone has Steam experience - help please! :)

The MSO directory should be in the same directory as your Addons.

Hi Wolffy,

The mso folder is in the same directory as the Addons, see the picture below:

And another showing the contents of the folder:

Try an empty array in your mso_uids.txt file like this, and see if it gets past Init: MP Rights?
[
]

The other thing to do is check if there are any error messages in your arma2oa.rpt report file.

Working now.

Running into other problems though, I attempted using the Takistan mission as a template of sorts to make an ACE version.

All I changed was the ammoboxes, to ACE ones, US Army to special forces, and added the ACE wounds module. However, now when I play the mission on a server a lot of stuff says it initializes but doesn't work, no ambiet civies, car, weather, logistics. All that seems to work is random enemy units and the AAR script. If I preview the mission in the editor everything works fine.

Any ideas on where to look for the problem?

Sorry man - can't say I've witnessed anything like it.

Any errors in your server log?

Server log has no errors.

If you think of anything let me know, until then I'll keep shooting in the dark.

Hi Wolffy,

I used an empty mso_uids.txt file and it didn't work, then I copied all the content back again into the file (copy+paste), to fetch the messages from the RPT file) and now I got the "initialisation complete" message......go figures (better ask gates....).

Just one question, yesterday, someone with the ID not included on the file was able to drive LAVs and fly choppers, is that correct?

Thx

I'm starting to think that my pbo utility may not be packing the mission correctly. I use winpbo currently, and can't get cpbo to work on my computer. You know of any other pbo utilities.

Edit,

Had someone else pack it. Works now, like a charm.

Having new problems now, server keeps crashing if I leave it to run the mission. I don't really know what the error log is telling me.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=V3S2210P

Link to the error file that got generated.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nothing really sticks out. You've got a lot of addons which makes it really difficult to tell whats causing it.

Check out this error:
File serverACE.cfg, line 6: '.hostname': Missing ';' at the end of line
File serverACE.cfg, line 6: '.hostname': Missing ';' at the end of line
File serverACE.cfg, line 6: '.hostname': Missing ';' at the end of line
File serverACE.cfg, line 6: '.hostname': Missing ';' at the end of line

If you can reduce/remove the number of addons and confirm its still happening, at least you can rule them out.
