Hello all,
Yes- I have researched the forums - BIGTIME on this one! lol
I am trying to decode the native wss files from arma to wav format. Everytime- the resulting wav file is full of hiss and doesn't sound right. I tried decoding a wss file from an addon and it worked fine. I have tried everything to decode the wss files from ARMA without success. Any suggestions? I'm using WSS File Converter v1.0.
It does work with wss files that are not native to the game?

Thanks so much,
Atticus

I have had great success using the program called OPF Sound Lab, real easy to convert .wss to Wav and back, then they all play fine with WM Player. Works with addon and Bis sounds, hope that helps.

If using a commandline tool is no problem for you, try Mikeros wss2wav tool.
Note that you also need the DePbo file from the same site to run the tool.
