one of my friends recently told me that it actually matters in which order you load your mods. what i mean is, -mod=@CBA;@SLX; or SLX before CBA. i have more mods than this but just using it as an example. should i load cba then sound mods then blastcore then ons. also using zeus ai mod. im not sure about this but he seemed to be sure. i remember reading something about this but cant find anything since it was a lil while ago. help would be great. thanks alot

It doesnt matter how or what way you load them, ive always always .. always loaded them in many different
ways with no problems at all, so dont worry about it.

Yes, it does matter how you load addons, but it only matters if you care about the results :-)

Regarding CBA, it no longer is important to load CBA as last mod, the config (I think its there) has a built in check so its always loading last or in a different way but it is checking itself its contents are overwritting/loading last.

As for other mods, if different mods/addons change the same aspect of the game it matters which you activate last.
If for example 2 soundmods change the same sounds but you prefer the sound of one of them make sure to load that one last so it will overwirte the same sound of the other soundmod.

It comes down to testing yourself and comparing the result(s).

@foxhound. thanks alot for the info. its pretty much what my friend told me but it sounded much more complicated. he isnt great at explaining thats why i thought id give armaholic a shout. i am not really using multiple mods doing the same thing so i think i should be good.
@DarkXess. thanks for your input. i had not heard this either until recently. but i dont seem to have any problems either and have loaded them in different ways aswell. i guess if no apparent problems come up which they havent i wont be really messing around with the order. i guess theres nothing left to do but play *YAHOO*

So I was curious about CBA and wanted to explore some of the weapon options, but I too have found that this basically breaks compatibility, one way or another, with Wasteland servers. CBA broke it, or is more "standards" compliant, or Wasteland broke it. In any event, Wasteland servers are broken now, cannot join them.

I did some further reading, and it seems that I could do a couple of things. First, isolate the optional Enable Auto XEH from CBA into a separate "mod", if you will, and load it afterwards? Bottom line, potentially change the order in which my mods are loaded?

Where do I find where this order is established, #1? Doesn't seem like it is a Windows shortcut, for example. Then I change it with any text editor, #2?

Thank you...

Although bringing stuff back to life once they can be considered pretty much dead could be a miracle in most cases, digging up an almost 5 year old topic with a question which is (probably) Arma 3 related and as such does not belong in the Arma 2 secion, is no such.

So, if this really is about Arma 2 feel free to start a new topic in the Arma 2: OA section and otherwise head over to the Arma 3 forum section and try it there.
