Damm, Tom Clancy, what are you doing.
First, ruining the Splinter cell Series by turning 'Conviction' into an action shooter more than a stealth objective-based spy game, and now you turn the tactical oriented elite-squad Ghost Recon Series into a Blue-beans party á la COD & Battlefield 3? Sad. I hope they won't go on with this, e.g. turning Rainbow Six (where you actually had to sue timing and tactics) into a terrorist-shoot'em up hunt aswell.

Tom Clancy is not doing anything, the bloody UBI keeps its name up high as destroyer of good games :-)

That's right, UBI, and we're guessing Tom Clancy's next book is going to be 3 months late hitting the shelves, and it's going to be a Romance novel

....that's all folks....!

Okay, let's say UBI ruins the Games 'in his name' then. Still sad, i really liked the Old SC and GR Series. (Played SC2 and SC3 Coop till 2011') but with Double Agent the Series became worse & Conviction was kind-of their grave. I think the same will happen after Future Soldier with GR. But at least many Shooterfans and Actiongame players (Commonly refered to as Cod-Kiddies, but i know some nice CoD Players, too, and i won't insult anyone) will probably buy these games, graanting UBI new money, so they can - perhaps - recognize the huge negative feedback of the 'old' community and turn the wheel around before developing a new game of the series, and get back to old quality.

... or is that too much of a wish? :D

/B2T.
Wont buy Future Soldier, will perhaps try out a demo when there is one, not more. Then i'm rather waiting for ArmA III ;D

UBI will not go back to those kind of games (OGR and SC) as the big money is with those other style of games. And lets be honest, as a business its a logical decission. As a liker of those older versions it is annoying though.
If they ever announce the development of such game it is a lie and they want to make it look that way but it wont. :-)
Only a new game dev can make such a game, but if it is than a success a large company (like UBI) will buy them and change their development to please the mainstream gamer for the big money again with the name of an original title.

And, I play(ed) both COD and BF and I like them, so I must be a COD kiddie too :-)
I like those games cause it is easy to step in, you shoot a few million bullets a night, the fast paced action, and all of that makes me relaxed.
However, I am not able to play those games for hours and hours as it is so repetative and boring in the long run.

I so agree with everyone here, I was shocked to see how Splinter Cell turned with Conviction, and now will go on with BlackList... As a huge ass fan of Chaos Theory wich was really an awesome game from every side... Pandora Tomorrow was also awesome...

Obviously it's a business decision, since players today are becoming too much used to fast paced games Foxhound was talking about. And they are very good and fun, but I cannot tolerate people talking at me, saying every time that CoD and BF are the games and everything outside those is for dumbasses.

And I feel Rainbow Six is gonna be ruined also... there is a video of a very early game footage and it seems a Heavy Rain style to me...

What the hell... Tom, please... but big money make minds change :-(

i tryied grfs and it does have some interesting things e.g the weapons costumization where you can almost field strip a weapon but this is not ingame it whould be nice though
and the multiplayer part was for me very disapointing there was no death match or tdm
also i missed the option to chose from 3rd person to first person so my opinion is that ghost recon advanced warfighter 2 is still a better game
