Hey sogamg and welcome to Armaholic *HI*

Can you please change youe topic title into small characters as doing them all in caps isnt needed!
You can see here (our rules) that its actually breaking them.

Thanks.

sogamg:
about 1.59 patch is it worth downloading and installing?

Of course it is unless you done want to play online! most servers require the latest patch now
a days, so unless you dont want to play online/multiplayer then its ok. I am sure there will be
an updated patch soon as it seems there is many problems with the latest one.

1st - Check The Rules! 2nd - Use The Search!

Ok!!!Sorry about the title. It is updated now. Thanks for the info.Is there any solution about the optics and nightvision problem?Unfortunately I can't continue with my mission.I saw that with any other type of soldier the problem does't exists.I don't know if it is weapon's problem or soldier's.Nevermind i will try to change weapon in weapon cache and see what happens.Oh and nice meeting you!!!!!!!!

Depends what optics you are using, if its optics that are pulled to the eye i.e. Sniper Rifles, ACOG, TWS, RCO etc then the NV will go off, because you cant use NV and these sights at the same time, it's the reason NV is built in to some scopes, best sticking with Ironsight, Holo and CCO if you want to use Nightvison.

Shame on you dark, that was the simplest of questions *ROFL*

Thanks for the info viper!!!!It felt strange because I play for years this series and it never happened. When I tried other weapon the "problem" disappeared. Now I have to go back there and finish my mission. As for the 1.59 patch I think I'll wait for a newer one that will solve some problems. Thanks again!!!!

No problem, just remember what Dark says, if you don't patch to the latest you will have little chance of being able to join other servers, good luck with your mission :-)

One small thing to mention about night missions and NV. Some sights have an iron sight or red dot on top of the optical one. Should be used for Close Quarters combat but can be useful when using NV gear. On a regular keyboard, numro keys "/ key", the one over the 8. This switches your point of aim from through the optical sight to over the top of it. Very useful when wearing NV equipment as it doesn't fowl the sight.

In this video you can see I'm using a weapon with an ACOG sight. As I'm using NV I'm sighting over it through the red dot on top. Later on the sun comes up and I swap to looking through the ACOG as you would normally.
