Hy, maybe some of you know that i'm new to Arma and i decided to take this game serious and start...well start getting good at it....please have patience with me :P. I like this game because you're not limited to shooting only like most of FPS and mostly because i really love helicopter raids, picking up troops etc. I will write down all of my questions in this topic and update the first post (this one) every time i have a question.

NOTE : I'M USING ARMA ARMED ASSAULT !!!

1. I need some tips for using sniper rifles, i'm stuck at one of the first missions when you need to go to the water tower and kill some retards. I have a very hard time hitting em.

2. Are there any add-on maps or missions in Afghanistan or similar to Operation Arrowhead and missions in which you need to fly helicopters? I love the idea of flying Chinooks or Black Hawks trough Afghan mountains dodging bullets, rescuing someone and that kind of stuff lol :D.

3. There are some lines on the scope when you aim using sniper rifles for example that i think are for helping you when aiming at a target which is at a certain distance. Can someone explain how to properly use em because i don't know for sure :(((

Thanks for now, i'll update the topic with further questions

Hey NsRacer welcome to the bis community:

As for sniping, always remember, if you press down on the right mouse button the it'll hold your breath so aiming is easier. And remember bullet drop. Im no expert sniper so im sure someone else can help you there :) .

As for maps in afghan, well hell yeah, you can find them in the island section of armaholic, from top of my head i can think of quom province, baghdad,ToraBora,Uruzgan,Fallujah and helmandValley. Check both arma2 and oa island sections. As for missions plenty in the scenarios section just read the short descriptions and you'll know if its air or not, think saw one called bullet proof where your an apache escorting a convoy.

Hope may have been some help.

Kind Regards Jeza

Ah got ya my bad, well no worries, think there's just as many maps for AA1 as for A2, the sniper thing works in arma though.

Maps:

[one of the best maps around] - http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=3525 - however optrex had his stuff taken down, so either you'll have to google it, or ask the maker himself, but i know for a fact there some out there, plus i have one from arma still on my hdd.

Missions:
Here's the list for all SP which includes many flying ones:

thanks for the links...i found a mission that seems to be interesting...remember the call of duty 4 sniper mission, can't wait to try this in arma.
