Hi,

Is there a step-by-step manual that guides me through the process of making a soldier/unit in Oxygen, from 3DS to ARMA. If not, can someone write it plz?

I don't have time to figure out oxygen, so a guideline would be awesome because I've got some awesome idea's for units.

Cheers
AW

[3.10] Use a proper title for your new thread.
Threads with titles such as 'help me' that provide no detail and what is wrong or that are inappropriate or not related to the topic you wish to discuss may be closed.

Title like "HELP" for sure are not descriptive, neither do we allow titles to be in all caps.

Editing questions belong in the editing section, topic moved.

Search before posting. This game is available for over 10 years already (all releases included) so one would think more people have been curious about how to make their own units right?

Check the FAQ, a section full with tutorials.

If you don't have time (or just don't want to make time) to learn to work with Oxygen better don't bother with editing at all.
Seeing how you wish to import a 3DS file to Oxygen I assume you are only interested in porting work.

Ok, after we fixed this over PM here is the help I promised:

Some topics for you to start with, but really there is a lot more available out there:
All the tutorials in our FAQ:
http://www.armaholic.com/plug.php?e=faq&q=36

Example models to learn from:
http://www.armaholic.com/plug.php?e=faq&q=37

Some BI forums topics for you to check:
- http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=86557&highlight=import+3ds+model
- http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=98263&highlight=import+3ds+model
- http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=114193&highlight=import+3ds+model

ArmA2 Modding Toolbox for 3ds max V1.1
- http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=82188&highlight=import+3ds+model

That should keep you busy for some time.
But, as explained in the PM, dont ask for a guide telling you all few million steps needed to create a model from 0 to finsihed, such a guide is impossible. You need to understand the basics and than the rest is up to you.
