Guys, watch out. Steam just released a "patch" for Skyrim. It does nothing but force you to run it through steam, and you cant use the LAA mod. Better information here

Does it even auto-updates if you start the game by the exe? Or only if you start through Steam?

Only if you start through steam, I always start the game through team anyway, so nothings changed for me...

LoL ... sad! after hearing all the good stuff, I went and bought it! been on it almost 2 days now
and cant stop! hahaha... its really a good game, not really my type usually but ive changed my mind
now on this one. I am going to see about adding some mods etc to it, like that Dragon scripted one.

I am on level 7 already and a dragonborn. I even have a nice looking women protecting me! haha.

Some thing I dislike though, getting off your damn horse then it runs away! LOL ... stupid

9/10 for me, love it at the moment! just cant stop playing, lol.

And Viper, thanks for this mod - Nightingale Prime really awesome! I love it :-)

I am not sure why everyone is saying the game runs like crap and is crashing. I am not having any issues at all. It runs fine enough, no crashes, the dragons land etc.
And, I am running Steam so its patched up to the latest version.

Anyway, I am happy about it.
Almost level 30 here but I keep running into some creatures which I have no way of winning from. Tried all spells, weapons, powers, potions I have but with 1 blow they kill me :-)

I guess I save those for later or maybe I am missing something.

You serious or joking? duh... I just killed the dragon and stood next to it instead of moving
away when that women said move quickly, lol. It was my fault as I was robbing the bodies right
next to it, not concerned about the dragon about to blowup and then I get the dragonborn. LoL

I'm not joking, played 70hours nearly and I haven't been a dragonborn, I fought that dragon and it's soul was absorbed by a whiterun guard, I was all like wtf... got in his face and challenged him to a duel.

So, the dragonborn is now dead and we're screwed. *DONT_KNOW*

When I first heard of Skyrim from a friend the day it was released for PC, I thought it was weird...
Until I played it at a friend's house.

I just ran around & killed everybody I saw, & stole everybody's clothes.....
Then my friend comes in the room and says"Well, I see you've killed out the whole village."
XD I can't wait till I get it.
