Is there a way to make convoy units stay closer together and approx. use the same speed?

Put the slowest vehicle in front, that will prevent the fastest vehicle to drive off.
Also give the first vehicle highest rank.
And.......add waypoints to see if that fixes their behaviour.

Convoys are pretty bad to create in arma cause the vehicles really do bad things during their travel.
There is a script for convoys made for OFP which handles this stuff.
I have NO idea though if it works correctly in Arma.

If you want I can upload it for you when I get home and you can give it a try.

I'll try the waypoints a bit. :) But it would be nice to see if your OFP script works so you are much welcome to upload it.

You might get better results when you set speedmode to LIMITED in the waypoints...not sure though but worth a try

I think that script will work, however i still get errors...a fair few. Its something to do with the names of the vehicles.

If i knew what to change, i could try and adapt that script, but it appears some of the names have extra values on them which i dont know if they are meant to be there or if they mean something or if they are there regardless of the name.


E.g name of a car is '_car2'

however in some places on the script it is '_car2_2' or '_car2_e' would it matter if it was 'truck_2' or 'truck_e' ?
