Okay so I was wandering around through the BIS mission files and I saw that they used a script for saving a unit's identity so that it didn't change appearance nor voice when it was spawned again.

I.E.

There's a mission open in the Editor.

A unit is added to the scene. Let's call him Bob.

Now, I know there's a way to 'save' his unit data and use it in a SQF script so that when you spawn another unit, if you tell that unit in it's init line to load up Bob's ID data, it would automatically change to Bob. So now we'd have 2 Bobs.

Question: How do I go about saving a unit's data and using it in another units init line?

Thanks ^^

The closest thing to what you seek (that I could find) was

Preset Weapon selections by player UID

Forum thread

Bohemia Interactive Forums > BI MILITARY GAMES FORUMS > ARMA 2 EDITING > ArmA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
Preset Weapon selections by player UID [script]

..although you'll need to manipulate it a bit to get it to do what you require, it should all be in there[/script]

....that's all folks....!

Hmm ... I don't know if this is exactly what I am looking for but it sure sounds cool. Thanks for the effort anyways, mate :-)
