Hello, my question is about TS3 and acre.

I've done a mission with a friend and we tried TS3 and acre, resulting as follows:

at a distance of 500, 1000, 2000 and 5000 meters we tested acre without any problems.

The problem comes with direct communication (face to face), when I talk to my friend, we do not know what program to use, if acre (caps lock) or TS3 (PTTkey). Could anyone tell me how is it?


PS: No matter the distance that I am of my partner, if I press the PTT key in TS3, I can talk to him as if he was next to me. it is normal?

You want to use Caps lock for over 10 meters. ALso, make sure you have JayArma2Lib and all that stuff all blah and blah and... its says in the readme.

I have JayArma2Lib and Cba. I just want to know how to speak directly with both mods and someone tell me if it is normal that I can talk with the TS3 (PTT key) at a distance of 5000 meters.

You use the TS3 PTT key and you will talk ingame in 3D voice
Caps lock is for the radios

the PTT key is like in Real Life, where ever you move around someone he will hear better on that ear instead of the other one

No, like said by another member, TS3 PTT is only for direct communication i.e. your squad members have to be within 50m of you to hear you (50 in-game metres). Sounds like you havent got ACRE set up right, while using caps lock you should hear radio sqwarks when activated and deactivated, also you and your friends would hear each other in a muffled tone, its not clear, like with radio's...

The 343 radio is squad which is only good for close communcations anything over 50m but under 3-400m.
The 148 VHF-UHF is good for long range communication, up to 5km when set up correctly.
The other two are manpacks and one can transmit/recieve up 5km (119) and the other up to 20km (117).

Is solved, the problem was because the plug-in is disconnected at times, giving the message "connected ArmA2: no". Runs smoothly.

PS: The radio 117F has a problem, when you're on the same channel can talk with Acre but when you are in a different channel, you can talk too !!!!!, but without sound the "squark" of acre.
