I've searched for this but can't quite find it or really thing of a good name to call it.. SO Can someone create (Or tell me if it's created) a version of the Evolution v30 support menu with no ranks or score required for editor? Or just for any singlerplayer thingy you do. Thx :)

Why dont you just open up that mission and see how they have made it?

Not sure what the support menu includes in Evolution, so tell us some more about what you want from it?

Well, if you get a kill, you get a point (Score). An ammo box would cost 5 points, and an airstrike 10, a nuke 140, Etc.. I Basically want that, but without the need of score. Or if you need to, with score. :)

and @ Dark, it's a gamemode.. Imagine it as warfare. You can't exactly check how they did the "Buy units" Or weapons thingy. So it's the same with Evo.

Yes! you can check, you can rip out the guts of any good mission, specially like Warfare, Domination, Evo...

Just need to know what your doing and which files to edit.

Mhm, well both of those are things i don't know. How exactly do i take a SP mission and put it in the editor?

Here is a set of scripts that I just typed up which will add a simple support point system based on the player's score.

init.sqf / .sqs
SupportPoints = 0;
_nul = player execVM "supportpoints.sqf";

supportpoints.sqf
while {true} do
{
_s = score player;
sleep 5;
_ap = (score player) - _s;  //_ap is add points
_ap = ap / 1;         // devide score eg _ap / 2; , so 50 points would get you 25 support points.
supportpoints = supportpoints + _ap;
};

create a radio trigger or multiple triggers with your support titles and name the scripts and set your params in the script.

activation: _nul = player execVM "callammodrop.sqf";

callammodrop.sqf
_PR = 5; //points required
if (SupportPoints >= _PR) then 
{
SupportPoints = SupportPoints - _PR;
hint ["%2 support points have been deducted, you now have %1 points", supportpoints, _pr];
nul = player execVM "Ammodrop.sqf"; // execute your support script
}
else
{
hint format ["You have %1 support points, %2 points are required to use this", SupportPoints, _PR];
};

Umm... Just curious, where do i put the scripts? I'm not the best at scripting, but i can do it. And how would i make an airstrike as a Support option?

If you can do scripting, then you know where to put the scripts? ;)

In your mission folder. All you have to do is copy and paste those scripts into your mission folder and add the line ( _nul = player execVM "callammodrop.sqf";) on the activation field of a repeating radio trigger which you will use to call support, that you placed in the mission editor.

how would i upload an image on this forum, i have two pics of it..

just upload to free image host site like tiny pic or other and paste the links.

When you create a mission and save it a mission folder is created.
_nul = player execVM "callammodrop.sqf";
just inside the mission folder.
"scripts\callammodrop.sqf";
in a folder called "scripts" in the mission folder.


If you want to learn how to start making missions and scripting then you should go look at some guides and tutorials. check newbie FAQ thread in the ArmA 2 and Arma 1 sections and also check some tutorials that you can download here like mr murray's guide for arma 1 and some others.

Once you've done that you should come back to this thread when you understand a little bit more because creating a point / support system seems a little bit out of your league atm, imho.

He means put the script whatever in to your mission folder!
the mission your working on, then dont forget to call it...

For example:

_nul = player execVM "callammodrop.sqf";

Goes in the init of the unit. Then you need the script "callammodrop.sqf" in the mission
folder which is saved in your "My Docs >> ArmA 2 >> Missions >> Your_mission_name

Inside your mission folder should have another folder called "scripts". The callammodrop.sqf
should be inside that. If not then remove the "scripts" from the path of your init.sqf

its like this how Dead3yez said:

"scripts\callammodrop.sqf";

You can change it to this:

"callammodrop.sqf";

All this makes sense? lol...

What i meant was what type of file is in the mission folder? Is it an sqf file? And if so how do i make one!?

Put in your code/script etc .. and then save as .sqf

I use notepad but any other word editor should be able to do it.
