Lennard's L119A1 Pack - Version 1.0

-Click for high-res

=================================

"The Diemaco(Colt Canada) C8 SFW, designated L119A1 within the UK military, offers several improvements over the M4 it is based on.
The main improvements include a hammer forged heavy mid-length (16.1 inches) barrel and beefed up front sight post to mount the HK AG-C grenade launcher.
It fires the 5.56x45mm round and uses standard NATO 30-round magazines."

This addon will add 14 different variants of the L119A1 to your game in 3 different camo's, that makes a total of 42 variants.
The weapons can be found in the ammo box in the editor or added by hand with "This addweapon .. ". The ammo box is located under EMPTY > AMMO > UK Diemaco Box.

It's fully OA compatible, with it's thermal textures and flash lights and IR lasers.
Therefor the original Arma 2 and Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead are both required to play.
The reason they are both required is to support BIS.

Looking at the description and the pictures, you just took the U.S. MK. 18 MOD 0 Naval Special Warfare Rifle and put the European name on it. However these do look very nicley done, The only thing thats missing is a version with a reflex sight and one that is OA standalone compatable. Great job!!!!!!!

Uhmm no I didn't. I actually made these using reference photos, nothing Mk.18 about these.
And thanks :)

Also the bugs are noted and will be fixed sometime when I finish some other project.

I agree, 4 of your models look like a mk18 with a british army desognation on them. They look great though, looking forward to using them when I get my disk of ArmA 2 in 2 weeks.

This is a fantastic weapons pack, only just started to use these really as of my interest in UKSF. Some really nice details on them, love the armoury number one a couple of them. Plus the weathered look on the 10" SD. The 10" variant could do with the bayonet lug removing though.. :)

I was wondering if there was a fix in mind for these as there are quite a few of the versions not shooting correctly.
Have noticed they are shooting way higher than the centre on the ACOG Variants and Holosights/SD (This is applicable on both 10" and 16") combinations which is a real shame as these are amazing and my favourite rifles to use in game. Favoured is the 10" ACOG SD as these are in use by the SBS/SAS in ganners at the moment.

SD variants will tend to shoot quite a bit higher above the point of aim at ranges less than the distance the sights are zeroed to (300m IIRC). It's due to the lower muzzle velocity of the ingame SD ammo having a much harsher ballistic curve than their non-SD counterparts.

Try using non-SD magazines on the SD weapons for a flatter trajectory.

Thanks for your reply Monkey. I gave that Regular STANAG ammo a spin on the SD variants and the ammo isn't compatible. It's aggressive trajectory makes sense, however I wonder why this isn't a facor with HK416/417 SD models and other SD weapons come to think of it. Yes the sights are zeroed/locked to 300 which on a ACOG doesn't make sense. As the distances are marked in the Rangefinding of the optic/sights the backup Iron sight above the ACOG (activated with '/' on numpad) is also considerably out. So I think it might be an issue with the actual models? Unless I'm doing something wrong. I'm using it on our custom/Modded server which isn't utilising ACE. The other non SD versions work peachy both 16" and 10"

Thank you for your suggestion, I was hoping it was going to fix it.

I've run into a little problem with it, not sure what, Thats the problem I'm having. I put the .bikey in the keys folder, and then all the bisign and pbo files in a folder that I name @LEN and then I put the whole quotation thing in the steam shortcut. And I've tried just putting the pbo bisign files in the 'common' folder... but I get the same result every time. using version 1.6.2, my friend is running the same version and it works for him. Redownloaded the file a few times, unblocked it... even switched from WinRar to 7zip... same result ever time. Only other thing is that I have Dayz installed, that shouldn't be the problem should it? I've even tried isolating it so its the only other mod installed (besides Dayz) I really like the look of this addon and want to use it, but I can't

Hi lennard91, first of all really nice work and really well done of this weapon pack.

Since arma3 came out there were lots of weapon addons be made for it. But there are not a weapon pack for specially for the L119 carbine series(actually there were some "big" weapon pack included but there was not a standalone version). So I am wondering if you don't mind, I want to port these weapon pack to arma3.

Thank you !
