Hey guys, I couldn't seem to find an answer on the forums. (Sorry if it's already there, or this is in the wrong place.)
But how do you call in Air Strikes (E.g. Hellfire missiles) to a target using the laser designator?
I have a mission where I am behind enemy lines, and have a laser marker to designate targets for Hellfire missiles. But I can't seem to work it out. :( Please help? Thanks guys!

Edit: I have Combined Ops if that makes a difference?

This may help...

Creating a SecOp module in the editor
1. Create a SecOp manager Module and name that module
2. Synchronize the SOP manager to your player unit
3. Also, if you don’t want HQ to give you Secondary Objectives, type this in the Init field of the SOM Module
this setVariable [“settings”, []], true, nil, nil, false]];
SecOp will be always activated for this mission

Creating CAS in the editor
4. Create a trigger near the player unit
5. Set Activation Radio <letter>, enable Repeadetly NOTE: THIS WILL ENABLE THE CAS FOR THE ENTIRE MISSION
6. Condition Present
7. Select- Timeout, type- None, text- Close Air Support,
8. Write this down in the On Act. field
[["tactical_airstrike"], player] call BIS_SOM_addSupportRequestFunc;
9. Preview the mission
Calling in CAS and Artillery in-game and marking targets
1. Open the Map to view the Radio
2. Select Close Air Support
3. Use the Command mode (key: SPACE) to locate Communication > Support > CAS/Artillery
4. You can now use the SOFLAM to mark targets.

That works for laser guided artillery, but he wants the Hellfire to hit a laser marked target.

That said, I'm not sure if the A2 Hellfire can be laser guided. Only laser guided weapons I know are the LGB and Artillery.
Maybe in ACE2 they have a laser guided one, but not sure here.

Yes the A2 Hellfire can be laser guided, me and my friend use it alot. That being said I don't know how you would spawn it for a SP mission. *DONT_KNOW* Maybe a script?

give it no choice in what it can fire by Setting the ammo level to zero and place this in the init
removeallweapons this ; this addWeapon "HellfireLauncher"; this addMagazine "8Rnd_Hellfire";this addMagazine "8Rnd_Hellfire"

point your laser at the target and there you go.

question:

I've made a template with HT-57 explanation and it works well, but the CAS consist of 2 A-10.

how can I do to:

-make only one plane appears instead of two?

-make another vehicle appears instead of the A-10 (like a Harrier, a F-35 or an Apache?)

-make the vehicle use its canon on infantry?

thanks

Thanks, 1st thing, when I put the thing into the init line of the SOM Module, it tells me there's an invalid number in expression? :(
2nd thing, I've got it all set up where I can select CAS, I'm looking at the target with my designator, but it says no aircraft available. So what do I need to do? :(

Thanks for all the help, I'm a noob when it comes to anything like this. Haha.

hey joe
U have to cut n paste whole statement which is the following-

this setVariable [“settings”, []], true, nil, nil, false]];

Inso far as contact goes ,you have to go to map screen and click the "alpha" channel or whatever you named "cas" on the radio. Then u go back to pov and call for support. If it still says no aircraft ava then you have to go back over each step and be sure u did not miss something in editor set up.

Le
gr8 question that is beyond me. If ya can figure that out, do share!

It also works better when it contains no errors

 this setVariable ["settings", [[], true, nil, nil, false]];

Right I've got it! Thanks man! It works awesome.
But has anyone got a clue how to do it with Hellfires? :/
It's not important, just I'm messing about with a mission where I have to laser designate AA targets to be blown up. And the amount of AA I have there, those A-10's would get minced. (Total AA overkill hehehe.) So I thought hellfires could be fired from distance. This is kind of like what the ULB module does, but with a laser designator. Anyone got any ideas? :)
