LEA - Loadout Editor For Arma 2 Combined Operations & ACE 2

by
[S.o.E] Team - Sons of Exiled

Description:
LEA is a standalone application with goal to simplify the customisation of player's loadout and mission edition. The software uses a full graphical interface and maximum automatised processes to help mission-makers and team players waste as less as possible time in editing loadouts. To do so, LEA has the capability to read and rewrite mission.sqm as well as generate SQF scripts into ArmA 2 mission. The software is provided with @LEA addon for players to make their loadout at mission start-up with LEA whatever the mission running on server. LEA can also help ArmA 2 team play thanks to its capability to easily share user profiles and missions through FTP.

LEA has been developed foremost to run with ACE 2 for OA/CO. However LEA can be used without ACE 2 (see FAQ).

LEA for Players:
  • Creation of an unlimited number of profiles see applicable ingame, at mission start.
  • Many Weapon Addons supported, included ACE 2, ACRE, all Robert Hammer's pack and more.
  • Possibility to share profiles by FTP, using LEA Client Interface.

  • LEA for mission makers:
  • Edition of all units (playables & AI), of all side.
  • Edition of vehicle cargos, ammunition boxes, and all objects having cargo in the mission.
  • Usable with any unit and vehicle addon.
  • Quick edition commands by using predefined profile or by quick creation.
  • Edition of Name and Description units attributes.
  • Extraction and Compression *.pbo (Windows only).
  • Possibility to share missions by FTP, using LEA Client Interface.

  • LEA for ArmA 2 Teams:
  • FTP Auto config file generator, to easily share profiles and missions.

  • Auto-updater:
Choose update after startup or select Check for Updates in the Help menu.

    Documentation:

Okay so i've been trying to use this and its not working for some odd reason. I try to make a new profile and it keeps telling me that it cannot create it. I've looked at the wiki, i've checked other forums and i can't seem to find a solution to this.

    Hello All =WB=Ferret here.

I am having a problem with Lea.
Installed via Win installer (Run as Admin) after creating a profile when I try to apply to Lea I get this error ( userconfig folder does not exist! )I can find no sqf in my userconfig or expansion folder has no userconfig.

I have tried uninstall then clean install no joy
Read the wiki no answer there
Looked in the manual install for the folder to install it manually again no joy
Running Ace, Combined Ops and armaIIOA is in steam.

Sorry if this issue has been discussed before I could not find it if it was :(

Any assistance would be appreciated as I am trying to get this into the =WB= and so far the reaction is ( fantastic this will save so much time. )

I was so glad this Addon was created as you all know how annoying it is to load out every time you enter a game or respawn.
    Thanks
    =WB=Ferret

After you loaded your mission, did you create a loadout.sqf (Mission>Generate loadout.sqf)?
Are your profiles being correctly saved in the *:\Users\*\Documents\ArmA 2 Other Profiles\*\missions\*\lea subdir (loadout-init.sqf, loadout-multi.sqf, loadout-solo.sqf)?

    Thanks for your reply NoQuarter

Ummm didn't realize you where required to load missions I thought this was just a client side addon to create loadouts that would work with any mission. My bad. The profile is not being saved to the user directory you mentioned, they are being saved to E:\Games\gamingtools\LEA\profiles that's where I installed it as I only have my OS and a few other win related things on my C: SSD drive

that being said My understanding from what I read was that Lea created the loadout sqf for you in the userconfig. which it didn't do. correct me if I am wrong.
I am not a modder I no jack about scripting. :( that is likely why I misunderstood what Lea does.

Yes, a loadout.sqf, as well as a YourGameTag.lea.profile should be being created within the *:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\userconfig\lea dir...provided that you save one to begin with.

From the front pages tool header select Mission>Import mission.sqm -either one created solely for this purpose or any mission/mission mode that you're familar with ...does not matter- and then select one of the Units slots listed, and click the Save as Profile radio button. Now, from the front pages tool header select Profiles>Edit and from this page edit as you see fit a default loadout from the profile you've just created and once that's done click the Apply to @LEA radio button. Once the pop-up appears -take note of the userconfigs directory pathing and adjust if necessary- click the Apply Profile to @LEA radio button and hopefully, the required files will have been created within the correct subdir.

In users\****\my documents\ArmA 2 Other Profiles\***\saved\mpmissions\ all the mpmission folders are empty no Mission.sqm am I not looking in the correct directory?

REMEMBER your talking to a player not a programer I have no idea where to look for these files I have no mapping skills. I think this is way over my head and I am wasting your time Sorry NoQuarter!

@Ferret: you MUST create a folder call "userconfig" into your ArmA 2 OA installation. This folder is requiered for using @LEA and many other addons like ACE 2.
When you click on "Apply to @LEA" you will be shown the path to your userconfig folder. Be sure this path is correct. Click "Apply" button and you should get a success message.
So once you have click on "Apply" button you should see into the userconfig folder a folder call "lea" and into this forler a file call "loadout.sqf". Check also that @LEA folder is in your ArmA 2 OA installation. Here you go ;)
