I (of course) bought the premium Carrier Command: Gaea Mission P&C Supporter version to support BI and actually found some time to start up the game today :-)

Its fun, I never played the original but this is definatly fun. There are some issues with the beta like:
- AI seems to not be interested in returning fire when fired upon (goes for units as well as the carrier)
- mouse acceleration is bad but it seems you can fix it by lowering your graphics settings and restarting until its gets better. Can not say yet that works 100%
- the game crashes when you destroy the enemy carrier, I cant win this game :-P
- AI has troubles with bridges
- Manta control is hard, will need practise.
- Walrus seem to steer weird here and there where they cant even make a slight turn and just move straight.

Anyone here is playing it? If so, what do you think?

Yeah it's definitely fun and well made. I played the original in the dark ages of computer gaming with 4 colors and screen resolutions so low it would make your eyes bleed today. :-D

The controls are tricky at sometimes yea, especially if you try to use A2 vehicle controls. The problem with mouse acceleration I have too but not that bad, guess it would be fine if I create a CC profile for my G500.
Biggest problem I had with the Walrus steering too, because I'm used to turn with the mouse where I now control the turret.

I'm sure it will be good in the end. :-)
