Hey all, I've got a few mission editing questions I'd like to get answered. I've tried both the search function and the basic editing guide (which was helpful in other areas, though. Just not my specific concerns), so hopefully I don't get destroyed by the flame-mongers.

Anyway, here's a few of the things I'm trying to accomplish with my missions:

1. I have a mission in which a US convoy is moving to Ortego, when they get hit by an IED on the way and take incoming fire. But the problem I'm having is that the OPFOR always does one of two things -
-Attacks the convoy BEFORE they get to the IED, and then the vehicles end up just skirting around the road and run away.
-IED blows, convoy takes a moment to get organizes, and then makes it another quarter of a mile or so before getting in contact.
================
What I'm trying to do is have the OPFOR attack IMMEDIATLY after the explosion, not five minutes before or after.
================
2. In that same mission, the US troops, after taking fire, always head to the vehicles and break contact as soon as possible. And while I realize that IRL that's probably the best option, for the scenario I need them to stay and fight, at least for a little while. How could I get them to return fire and fight it out, secure the area, and THEN leave?
=================
3. I'm having trouble understanindg radios. (yeah, idiot statement of the year right there) What exactly is their function, how do I deploy them, and how can I use them to better my missions?
=================

Thanks for taking the time to read that monster of a post. If I've missed a thread or an article that could help, feel free to link it. I'm always looking to learn a bit more.

Diplomacy: The art of saying "Good doggy" long enough for your sniper to get the range.
