We have a new IP for the Teamspeak and Ventrilo server.
Connection details for both : 85.223.49.111 port: default (dont change anything)

Check our FAQ for a complete explanation how to use/setup Ventrilo and Teamspeak.

Everyone is welcome!!

Hi guys. I heard there'll be a new version to Ventrilo coming soon...
Are you going to upgrade? I recall you are still using version 2.1.3?

Is it possible to join in with 2.3.0? That's what we've been using and there have been no problems.
I would very much like to join in vent whilst occasionally playing but I guess I could use TS as well...:dozingoff

Just that vent is soooooo much better....:D

Yes for us too, ventrilo works better.

The problem is that if we upgrade the server version, we won't be able to have more than 8 slots if we do not rent a server. That's why we still use the 2.1.3 version.

Anyways you can have both versions installed, there is no problem with that and just use the 2.1.3 to join armaholic channels :D

2.1.4 Works just as good as 2.1.3 and it doesn't need a server to be rented. However it is compatible with 2.1.3.

No need for keybinds, we are not using them so much :D

@Flat, yes and also 2.1.2 but that's not what he asked. When we talk about upgrading we mean the latest version.

ATM all arma and communications (ventrilo and teamspeak) servers are down, looks like my own server is suffering from some hardware troubles now.

I will try to replace some hardware and see if that helps to get it to boot again.

[edit]
Looks like my PSU died on me.
Tomorrow my brother will see if he has a spare one. Otherwise I will be forced to get the one from my gaming rig to test if it is really the PSU (which I really want to prevent cause I dont want to open this one atm).

I replaced the PSU but I think some more hardware parts are messed up. I finally get some power to stay in the comp when you turn it off but the old PSU must have burned some more parts.

Tomorrow I replace the mainboard. Hopefully that fixes it, if it is the CPU than I will have to get myself one from somewhere, I dont have a spare CPU.

I have tested almost everything except the CPU (dont have a spare) and the power switch of the case.
Saturday I am going to my brothers home with the server, he has an older computer with same socket P4 and I will use his CPU to see if that causes it.

As far as I am concerned this is the only thing possible.
I replaced the MB, the PSU and the CPU fan. I booted it but still it stops (even without any other HW the fans should start spinning).
So, as far as I am concerned this must be the CPU.
Or......if I am lucky the power switch of the case is shortcuting something.

So, next report will be on saturday in the afternoon. If its the CPU the server will remain offline a bit longer cause I have to buy a new CPU.

After hours of testing we have finally been able to pinpoint the issue.

It seems, and it is definatly very surprising, both mobo's I have here are wasted.
I have tried all hardware componenets seperatly, I exchanged them with my borhters old comp and tested each time. All parts work.
So, I put them back in one of my own mobo's and nothing worked. I added them to the other mobo and still nothing worked.
I was suprised. 1 default mobo ok but 2 at the same time.......:wtf

Anyway I am glad I spend some hours on this otherwise I would have bought a CPU for nothing.
I am now going to buy a new mobo for my P4 3.2 and than the server will be up again.

Please keep in mind with the holidays and my work I am not sure when I can get it.
I also have to see where I can get a socket 478 mobo for a normal (low :) ) price.

Sorry for the lack of input the last...well...months. You know, lifes sucks sometimes and ArmA pre 1.09 just didn't gave me what i wanted. But 1.09beta now and i'm more or less back into ArmA.

Sadly no Armaholic server to enjoy it with you guys. So i had to cheat on you guys and find some other server to spend my MP time on. Anyway....hope ArmAholic is up in buisness soon again.

PS: Fox (since you apperently still afterpartying of christmass dinner :p)...
Just a thought, but why not make use of the hardware failure and do a server upgrade?
...Hold your horse :), i was thinking of an Armaholic fund thingy so everybody who plays on it (on 'regular' base) pays in it. I still 'own' you a birthday fund :p.
Nah, i mean, and could be wrong, the server could use some extra horse power i assume?
Afaik a server doesn't need a super 8800GTX...as long it has some decent ammount and quality of RAM, new gen CPU, new mobo (afaik no REAL server type) and maybe 2 raptors?
Correct me if wrong mate.

Like i did in VBS1 time, i'm up to pay for my experience.
Just a thought here.
