I've started an arma group and we're going to play the first Coop game next saturday. I was initially going to just use a local server form the PC I am going to play on. However I have an older laptop (that can't run Arma 2 very well) and I was wondering whether I could use that for the dedicated server software.

The specs are something like
CPU: intel core 2 duo 2.0GHz
RAM: 4Gb

I no nothing of the rest I'm afraid, it's a dell studio BTW.

Does the "server" need to be able to run Arma it's self? I have no idea how this works so thank you for putting up with my ignorance.
