Thanks guys, are you both on the BI forums? I'm trying to keep track of all the voice acting stuff in a single place. Please send me a PM on the BI forums and we'll work it out.

Voice work from Laqueesha and Kommiekat is beginning to go into the missions and sounds pretty solid. It really does make a difference, even if the recordings aren't studio quality.

Alright, as promised, here is a screenshot update. The full gallery with more new images can be found here.

The first post will also be updated with completion statuses.

M9 - Put Your Mouthpiece In - You must capture Sperwan Ghar, pushing up the ridgeline and eliminating scores of enemy combatants standing in your way.

M10 - Friends For Life - Immediately after Sperwan Ghar has been captured, you must defend the Casualty Collection Point (CCP) against counterattack and be prepared to go above and beyond to keep your brothers safe.

Here are some screens from the newest mission In-progress. Things are coming together very well, it's a blast (no pun intended) to have all the firepower of the AC-130, essentially leveling the playing field when there are 6-8x as many OPFOR as BLUFOR...

M11 - Holding On At All Costs - The Taliban has been defeated, but waves of enemies are closing in, as desperate for control of Sperwan Ghar as you... only you have 3 AC-130 sorties at your disposal. You'll have to take out their key positions (while avoiding firing upon civies or NATO forces) and defend your position at the same time.

Just have to say great job to all those involved a very entertaining campaign that sadly we don't see much these days. I know everyone is busy and such and games are just a hobby for most of us. But no joke this one is very nicely put together and very realistic. Thanks for making and sharing this with us. 8-)

Police woman by day Wife, Mother and serious gamer at night 8-) . Husband suggested my game name as Zipgun so no one would know I was a girl. Tho more importantly when I was a teen I used a more female name? Only got derogatory or sexist comments when playing games. I just got sick and disgusted of it.

Why is it so difficult to post a question in this forum???

I'm stuck in mission 11 lions of kandarhar and have asket 2 times for help, but was refered to this section by the admin
hope that someone can read this and can help me, other wise I delete that campaign. My problem is, how can the screen from the c130 be zoomed?? and most of all why does the other gunners don't shoot all exept the one on the right flank.
I'll be gratefull for any help.

fmandl-- you can find a list of controls for the AC-130 by pressing F1 while in the AC-130 console, which should help-- you can use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out, but depending on the weapon you have active (number keys 1-3) the zoom is limited. You might also try increasing the view distance. I'm not sure what you are referring to with the other comment about the gunners-- are you talking about on the AC-130, or the BLUFOR on the ground atop Sperwan Ghar?

To Headup.

thanks for the tip, yes I was refering to the troops on Sperwan Ghar ( Humwees gunners ) they just don't shoot, and
controlling the C130 and fight off the talis is a bit difficult, with all the firepower on that hill, one would think,
that it is impossibile to take it, provided the gunners do theyr job. I realy enloi playing that campaign it is so well made one just can't stop playing.
a bloody good game concrets on that one

Added 1 hour 53 minutes later:

yes headup, I have increased the few distance from 1850 to 3200 it made a difference, but I still die in the plane
it would be easier if one just give the gunners in the plane the target coordinates and the player can concentrate on the job of fending off the attack on the hill. love playing that campaign, but everytime I'll die and that is discouraging.
wonder how many players got that far ( mission 11 ) and experienced the same problem?? would like to hear from them.
as I mentioned befor the gunners on the right flank are shooting, the gunners where the player is do nothing and the
gunners on the left flank aren't shooting either, from the south ANA a few solders come over to help out.
all in all that mission is very difficult to play and I wonder if I finish it ever. perhaps if the opfor and ANA positions
where marked on the screen from the c130, it could be easier to fend off the attack if one knows where your own poeple are.

One other person reported a similar issue on the BI forums, where the main LoK thread is found. Not sure if it was an error with the scenario or just a matter of strategy and/or viewdistance (more likely, it seems). You may want to follow that thread instead of this one, as not as many people seem to be participating in the convo here. Here is the specific post, along with my recommended strategy-- follow this and you should have no trouble.

http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?138872-CAMP-Lions-of-Kandahar&p=2266746&viewfull=1#post2266746

As for the guys on the hill, some of them are in stealth behavior and will likely not engage until it's too late, all-in-all they have trouble seeing all the enemy approaching in the dark. Still, you should only need to use the AC-130-- the challenge of the mission is all about splitting your attention between defending the hill and taking out the objectives (also, remember you can press 'N' for night vision and FLIR).

yes I have used the key N and was on Flir also I zoomed to 9 and defended the hill after I got the radio messege that the
talis are attaking, can't see all of them, even with flir on and consequentily I died, you know it is very discouraging
having to start the mission all over again, I'm inclained to delete the campaign because I just can't finish it as for other players who have gotten further, they don't give one a hint
and the other side you gave me I can't log in.

Sorry to hear that, not sure what else to suggest. Sounds like the mission is not playing out the way it was designed and that 98% of other players experience. Not sure if I already asked about this, but are you running only the required addons and none others? Even the most minor, unrelated mods (including JSRS, specifically for Mission 11) can have adverse effects on the experience. Outside of that, the only suggestion I can think of is un-PBO'ing the Campaign and running Missions 12 and 13 through the editor or exporting to SP scenarios. May not be worth the effort though, it's your call. *DONT_KNOW*
