Hellenic Army Aviation UH-1H Huey transport helicopter

Mod Info:
Sparky contacted us about the next Hellenic Warfare Mod close to being released.

Keeping up with our promise for quality addon production, the Hellenic Warfare Mod in association with the Hellenic ArmA community proudly presents a legend. The Hellenic Army Aviation UH-1H Huey transport helicopter is now undergoing structural and functional beta testing, with exquisite results so far. Having already tested the fully working model and textures, we are now in the process of incorporating some scripting enhancements that will take the 'beast' to the next realism level.
As always, the model is accurately depicting the internal and external views of the Hellenic Army Aviation air veteran, bearing 2 mounted MG3 machineguns on port and starboard sides. Needless to say, the model and textures are made from scratch.

The helicopter will be available for downloading when beta testing is done, and it will be part of an addon pack that will contain a couple more surprises. To that end, a bug tracking system has been created at the HWM site. Any realistic and well intended observation will be greatly appreciated. So if you find something, kindly report it to the following link

Thank you guys so much. We have been waiting for Marine aircraft. This is one of the two big ones that I personally have been waiting for since release. The other is the CH-53 Super Stallion. We will be patiently waiting. If you need any help testing, feel free to let me know. I am the CO of the HMM-265, the rotary wing part of our air group. Once again, thank you all very much.

Thanks all of you. These comments, are really helpful, for us in order to keep our work going...
After our 1st release and the release of the Tools, we focus on our "mistakes" and study some of the BIS sample models in O2, the result was that we learn even more, and adopted all this knowledge into huey....
About the release, this uh-1h is going to be a part of our 2nd addon pack, that means that as we did with our 1st HWM addon pack, we are going to do the same with the huey. The good news is that the other 2 elements of the pack are in the middle stage (both models ready) and we need texturing, config etc...
So you don't have to wait.
Also we have decide for this release and especially for huey to create 2 more version one for US army and one for the RACS. We're talking about how we're going to release those versions, since they will not belong to the HWM mod. More possible is to release an other pbo with these versions, but it would be highly depended on the other HWM.pbo, and that for saving space for the elements that are the same in all the 3 hueys.

HEY!
Has anyone taken into consideration to develop a AC-130? I've heard rumors about people converting the VBS Model in ArmA, just thought it would be cool to have a larger fixed wing aircraft that needs a 3 or 4 man crew to operate the howitzer and other guns, along with navigating and piloting the aircraft. let me know if any of you guys heard rumors of a AC-130.

Thanks,
=dB=E6.PointBlank

All suggestions are welcome, but please keep in mind that we are a small team and we have a specific goal to achieve, and in order to do that a lot of things to do.
As fas as the C-130, yes we have been discussing in HWM about a big Air Transport, but i'm not sure if it's going to be the C-130, it may be the C-27J Spartan. Anyway we can't tell which, when and if you're going to see a big transport like that made by us. Time we tell.
The other 2 addons, that will be in the addon pack......... well what may be...... hmmmm.....
Sorry guys i can't tell you yet, we keep it for surprise. All i can say about the next, that will be in the next progress report, is that in the last phases of the development, so if everything goes as it should (according to schedule) then maybe after 2-3 weeks we will have something 100% ready to show.

Very great work, the HWM is a skilled bunch of addon makers thats for sure.
I was also reading on the BIS forums how you guys went back and changed things because of peoples suggestions even after UV unwrapping, which I can imagine must not of been easy. Great community spririt, great models, textures, configs (with extra destructable bits), this mod team sure has it all. Thanks for all the effort and keep up the great work!

This is a request to both the main mod group, or anyone else with some texture experience... It would be great if we could get this in the marine grey colors similiar to the vanilla AH-1Z. I realize that it isn't the newer 4 bladed variant, but it would be pretty close. Just an idea. Hell, maybe I'll work on it down the road, but I wanted to get the idea out. Whoever makes the secondary textures might be able to throw one more in pretty quickly. Thanks in advance.
