When setting up a dedicated server, MSO does not initialize correctly. This causes extreme lag in game. Its not framerate lag or server lag, its lag with the interfaces. EX: pull up scope, crosshairs don't appear for about 5 seconds.
This is caused by the MSO modules not initializing in the map screen during creation.
Normally (when starting as a LAN or internet game) the MSO initialized with the CBA under the notes/tasks/ect section.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Note: CBA initializes but also has no text in that section.

Can you go over the process? You are at the briefing screen, under MSO > Initialization - does it show anything there? You should see a list of stuff going through the init process.. the last one is Patrol Ops and depending on the map it alone can take 4-5 minutes to complete. At the end it should say Initialization Completed. DO NOT PRESS CONTINUE UNTIL YOU SEE THIS COMPLETED MESSAGE. Also make sure you are the ONLY one on the server while you are doing this.

You can also try disabling most things in the params to see if it launches then.. at least you'd know it is a problem with a specific module. Have you customized the mission in any way?

Bless you my son.

It only shows up when I make a LAN or internet game. When I use the map on a dedicated server is when I see no MSO message. When I enter the game it does initialize, but the game is very laggy (crosshairs show up 30s after pulling up scope).
I have tried disabling a lot of the stuff in the params but it still does it.

Also when it initializes after entering the game there are pauses in the initialization. Even when turning off all abient civilian modules, it stop before moving to CQB, MGO attach, and Patrol ops.

It would be easy if there were some kind of error or something, but nothing...

That is strange... have you edited the mission in any way? It does the same with the stock MSO on Takistan?

Might be worth posting in the BiStudios forums thread as the devs respond there on a regular basis.

Does your .rpt file show any error messages?

I think I figured it out... it still takes a while to initialize but I believe I had too many modules on the map. I removed some modules and it improved, followed up by removing all but the essential modules and it works fine now. Thanks for the input.

The modules were EOD modules BTW
