I have been trying to use these mods with my Steam copy of ARMA2 and OA: CBA mod, Zeus Mod (AI mod) and TPWCAS Mod (supression mod) by adding the line

"-mod=@CBA_CO;@zeu_AI;@tpwcas" -nosplash

to the Steam launch options window. Before I did this I could access all my ARMA2 missions and campaigns via the Operation Arrowhead shortcut on the desktop fine. But after I add these mods I can only access the OA campaigns and scenarios, I have to use the separate ARMA2 shortcut to access the ARMA campaigs etc. Does anyone here know whats up?

Is there any way to enable these mods without mucking up my entire ARMA2/OA setup? I have tried deleting the mods one by one and it seems that just one of these mods is enough to ruin the whole setup.

If not, is there any mod I can use with the above setup that will modify the enemy AI to make them less deadly?

SOLUTION:

I got this to work in the end what I did was remove the Steam launch options entirely and put them into the Combined Operations batch file instead ie:

_runA2CO.cmd

which you can find in the Op Arrowhead steam folder. If you edit this file and change the line at the bottom of this file from:

:runs
"%_STEAMPATH%\steam.exe" -applaunch 33930 "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca"

to:

:runs
"%_STEAMPATH%\steam.exe" -applaunch 33930 "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca;@CBA_CO;@zeu_AI;@tpwcas"

you can get the three mods to work correctly together and you dont lose the combines ARAM2/OA functionality - obviously change your line to show your mods instead of the ones I have added. Its all untested as yet by me, but they do appear on the loading splash screen correctly so it looks like they are working properly. You can now also access all the ARM2 and OA missions and campaigns from the one OA shortcut as before. Superb!!

So in summary: if you have ARMA2 and OA installed by buying the Combined Operations package from Steam, dont use the Steam launch options window to activate mods, but use the OA batch file instead to get your mods to work correctly.

Oh yes and it goes without saying but you have to set up a new shortcut on your desktop and use the batchfile to run your ARMA2/OA game from then on NOT the icon Steam sets up for you. You can easily modify the name and icon of this shortcut though to make it look like the original one.
