Thanks for your fast reply !

I installed the required files too.
What i dont understand is, why the missing files arent included in the other requirements.
Or belong the files to the game, not to the Mods ? Maybe the game isnt installed correctly ?
I checked it with Steam but theres no problem it says..
Any ideas ?

Thanks !

I CANNOT get this to work. So frustrating. I have the downloaded mod folders in the main directory. They all have the @ sign in the front and all have "addons" folders in them. Some have the "keys" folder as well. I have the launch options setup just like they're supposed to in steam. When I go in game, I can see all the launch options listed in the expansion settings. They are all listed by their @folder_name. However I cannot interact with them at all (enable/disable/move) and they are not working. I can't find any other options to try for this. Please help!!

UPDATE: Wow so here's an interesting discovery. I finally said screw it and decided to give up. I went in and deleted all the launch options from Steam but left the folders where they were in the directory. I logged back in and what would you know, the mods are all there and can now be enabled/disabled and moved around. Weird.

I seem to have reached the maximum amount of characters allowed in steam launch options. It wont save any more mods.

-mod=@JS_JC_FA18;@cjtf101editor;@ARP2;@FA_Maritime;@Blood_Mist;@Army_Class_B;@sakumods;@Nimitz;@POMI_PMC;@Streetlamps;@sts24;@SDC_MerlinHC3;@A3MP;@CBA_A3;@JSRS2.0;@mv22;@Blastcore-A3;@Vehicles_Refined;@bra_minihattan;@Max_POLICEMOD;@sfp;@CHO_F35B;@JS_JC_SU35

Is there a workaround for this?

Thanks

**Got the work around from another thread. Now using categories for multiple mods. Thanks**

You dont need the other thread, his answer is clear:
Now using categories for multiple mods.
so basically create a mod folder for the type of mods that are similar, so for example create a folder for all the planes you have and put them all in one folder, like @Planes, then for all the weapons, units, etc,. same for gameplaye mods, basically consolidate all your mods by type.
Careful with the gameplay mods, some could conflict, depending.

Hey Fellas,

I hope this is the right place to ask this.

I am having trouble with one addon in particular; VTS Weapon Resting. I believe I have it installed correctly but I have been unable to get it to work in game.
Here are the install paths I have set.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 3\@Weapons_Rest - For the pbo files etc.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 3\userconfig\vts_weaponresting - For the user config thingy's which are required in order for me to run the game.

Does anyone see any errors here in how I set these up?

Any tips on how to most quickly test this in game (should it be available in any scenario I pick?)?

The default key bind should be ctrl+space but I think that perhaps because I changed my key bindings before I installed this that maybe I am interfering with the key binding. My 'adjust stance' key bindings are done with a button on my mouse and not my ctrl key any more so I worry that maybe if it was tied to the 'adjust' function in game that it interferes with the key bindings of the mod.

Will this weapons rest function show up under controls so that I can change what keys activate it, or will I have to do that some other way?

Of note: I can go into the configure menu and enable this mod, I do believe everything is set up correctly because of this and the fact that the game functions.

Thanks for any thoughts or knowledge y'all may have on this.

Hello,

nothing wrong with the paths.

Any tips on how to most quickly test this in game (should it be available in any scenario I pick?)?
Just go into the sp editor, pick stratus, place a soldier, make him the player (you), and put him in the main town, go to walls, and hit your buttons for the mod, go to window sills, sides of doors, even lie on the ground, all you do is resting your weapon, so once in position just hit the keys you have setup for the mod and you will get a small icon on your hud, and a small click sound.

Dont matter, for the mod you only change the controls through the userconfig, if you have something bound to the same keys for the weapon resting they you will end up doing whatever the action is and the weapon resting function as well.
For example, i setup my key for space bar, easy to hit, its big, its right there, cant miss.
Will this weapons rest function show up under controls so that I can change what keys activate it, or will I have to do that some other way?

As said above you change the key through the userconfig, just open the folder, then open the hpp file its basically a notepad doc, and read what it says.

Thank you very much!

I was able to figure it out and I learned a little something too about user config files too, so thanks a bunch.

I hope that wasn't the kind of question that veterans of Arma typically find aggravating.

Thanks again!

I'm having a problem with enabling/disabling mods. I've tried to install the CBA/STHUD/Task Force Radio mods, however I need to be able to disable them but when I go into Configure->Expansions in my Arma 3 main menu I am not able to click on Disable for any of the mods.

In my Program Files(x86)/Steam/SteamApps/common/Arma 3 folder, I've put in the @CBA_A3, @sthud and @task_force_radio folders in there after I've downloaded them (just like the guide says?).

Here are my launch parameters: -mod=@CBA_A3;@sthud;@task_force_radio -skipintro -nosplash

What am I doing wrong?

Try is this way:

-nosplash -skipIntro -mod=@CBA_A3;@sthud;@task_force_radio;

1st - Check The Rules! 2nd - Use The Search!

There is a limit of mods that i can put in the Init line from the game in the Steam how do i counter that ? I have 29 mod folders, because some mods have other files that i wouldn't be able to place them all under just 4 mod folders and i wanna use them how do i do this?
